I did it!! Hello onederland!!! I’ve lost 58lbs since Oct 1 when I had my surgery. I have been having a very hard week and this gave me the boost I needed to get through it. Thank you all for your support through this.. it makes all the difference.

My taste buds have changed too, it’s not just you!! Meanwhile, some negative people in my life make fun of me and call me weird.. they didn’t operate on your tongue! It’s very annoying.

I’m in a 16 that’s a little too big so I bought the 14s and have them waiting!!! I can fit into a regular XL and sometimes an L top!!! It feels amazing.. two pounds left to onederland, 54lbs down!

Hi pdamoci! Don’t feel bad!! It took me a while to see pounds dropping off and I had surgery 10/1. Are you noticing any other changes? Clothes being too big? Are you getting in enough calories? That doesn’t seem like enough but I don’t count calories. Are you eating 5 times a day? No regrets!! Stay strong :)

Hi Linda! I had occasional acid reflux before surgery and *knock on wood* haven’t had ANY since. Surgery was 10/1 :)

Talk to your prescribing doctor. If it’s extended release it may be.

@georgetown My surgeon did NOT!! I was very angry when my psychiatrist said that was why I was sooo depressed. We changed some things around so I take meds twice a day instead of all at once and I feel a lot better.

I felt the same way. I was sleeved Oct 1 and feel so much better now, but the first month was the worst. Side note, if you or any of you take extended release anti depressants or anxiety etc meds, they will not absorb properly after surgery. Found that out the hard way!! Went through surgery and all that comes with it plus withdrawals from meds. It sucked. Hang in there Ellen, I promise it gets better!!

Me too! I got mine off amazon but I’m excited to use it. I work a desk job and it keeps telling me to do my steps and it’s hard to get them in during the day!

@yvonne47 it’s the gas.. try walking and rolling your shoulders :) feel better!

@josh m.. I was sleeved the 1st and my scale has barely budged since surgery! But inches are coming off and everyone has noticed a huge difference. Hang in there!!

Notmyname we have something similar here but I’m actually going to give them to my stepmom first, she has a woman she works with that really needs them. Anything she doesn’t take will go there.

On a good note.. went to Kohl’s and I’m down two sizes in my pants!! Donating all my good slacks that are too big to charity. I’ve got three big bags full of clothes that don’t fit :) I was sleeved Oct 1

Same here.. my surgery was 10/1 and my scale has barely budged since then so I stopped checking it as often. I’m sure it’ll pick up for us soon!!

So sorry to hear about the blood clot! I haven’t had it but maybe ask on the vet forums? Best of luck for a speedy recovery!!!!

Some inspiration for all of you!! I was sleeved oct 1 and was feeling a bit down because the scale hasn’t moved much since surgery. Just tried on my slacks for work next week and they were too small and now they are baggy and hanging off me!!! ?

I just got mine two weeks later and I wasn’t due for it! Maybe something to do with the surgery??

Thanks @crankymagpie.. I’m mad at them too!! And I’m so close to my aunt and sister that it’s really hard right now.

My family is being rough too.. my dad was sleeved in 2011 and has gained about half of it back so keeps monitoring everything I put in my mouth. My aunt and sister think I’m cheating by having surgery and should do it the “real” way. They are both overweight too so I don’t get it. My bf was supportive but he dumped me recently. So that was fun. I was sleeved 10/1 and am still sooo tired. Anyone else?

I have my appt tomorrow.. good to know some of these answers! I haven’t lost much if any since surgery so I know the feeling.. it’ll pick back up!!

It gets better :) just keep at it.. it’ll be tough, not gonna lie, but you can do it!!!
