I'd encourage you to try some new things, in the hopes you will find something you enjoy, or if not that, then something you'd like to achieve. Exercising to lose weight is fine for a while, but that isn't enough to keep most of us active enough for long.
    Things that might be fun:
A friend of mine loves Zumba.
Another friend likes spinning classes (I don't see the appeal, but they make her happy!)
I actually really like using the elliptical with the game Zombies, Run! running in my iPhone--it makes it a lot more interesting. The company that makes that game has some non-zombie games, too.
Water aerobics are different and a surprisingly good workout (and there's Aqua Zumba, too).
    Possible goals to work towards:
    Walking/running a 5k/10k/marathon
Hiking up that one mountain you like to look at
Doing one of those "virtual walks," where you wear a fitness tracker and do a lot of walking to move a marker on a map
Biking a quarter century/half century/century - or, alternately, getting fit for one of those bike tours through Europe or wine country or ... whatever place would be fun for you to bike through
    Competing in a triathlon
    Swimming a mile
Doing one of those mud runs? or color runs?

@Hungryman I know it can be frustrating but you are really doing good so congratulations...one of the posters posted his weight loss journey for 10-12 months and he lost slow but the big picture was he lost about 90 or so lbs in that time frame...his point was “Look at the big picture” when I think about it, really makes a lot of sense...I try and keep that thought in the back of my mind.

You’re doing awesome. Keep up the good work.

I have a charm Bracelet (in the Pandora style, but it isn't Pandora-branded) that I'm adding a charm to, every time I lose 10 pounds.

I flew on an airplane and instead of nearly needing an extender, I had to tighten the belt down. 93 lbs down since April!
Only downside was getting pat downs because of my stomach hanging down. Need to get a Tummy Tuck next year.

You shouldn't waste time posting here you should call your medical team. Soup is a liquid and if you can't even consume liquids that's odd. And if you are getting dizzy call your medical team.

Hey surgery twin [emoji2] so happy to hear of your progress. Thank you for sharing your advice and routine, much appreciated. I try to do 10k steps a day but because I have a 'tied to the office desk job I get there when I incorporate my gym workouts. I'm eating mostly fish or chicken with most meals so trying to get that up. Protein Shakes make me violently ill (all brands that we get in Kenya) BUT I can tolerate Gold Standard so trying to work my way up to 2 servings rather than just one. I really appreciate the support and encouragement. Hope you're doing really well and I'll touch base in a week or two [emoji120]

Here is a suggestion...instead of going to the state fair where every single terrible food you used to indulge in and likely will always still have an addiction or habit of wanting........ take up exercising, or go for a walk somewhere else. I don't know why you would want to put yourself through that less than 1 month after surgery? this is a life change and why choose sadness? Make better choices and take advantage of a new lifestyle by doing new things!

Hey! We have the same surgery date. I just experienced last week a "stall" where I lost 1 lb. I was mortified. The stall ended though on day 7. I'm consuming about the same amount as calories as you and I too work out 1hr at least a day. I also add in 10000 steps a day so I'm moving during the day alot. The only difference I see is that I consume over 70G of Protein a day up to 80g. I eat fish alot, it's high in protein and low in fat. For Breakfast I stick with Egg whites which is high protein too. I will also add a scoop of plain protein to my yogurt Snacks to bump it up. When I don't have at least 70g of protein I am STARVING. My nutritionist told me it's because I'm working out hard and more active than most. So if you like fish, it's a great protein option. I am down 46lbs since surgery ....and I started heavier than you so honestly I think you are right on par with where you should be weight wise. Try the protein increase and see if the hunger goes away (it should).

The only person who knows is my husband. I have set some big fitness goals (ironman etc) and been vocal about them. I'm exercising a lot, basically I've done a full 180 to my lifestyle (cycling daily, swim lessons) and I think when you do that, people just don't ask questions because they just assume it is parallel to the lifestyle change. As to why I haven't told anyone other than my husband.....it's private. I don't know the medical details of anyone in my circle so why share mine? I have a food psychologist I work with and I am part of a bariatric support group that respects privacy so the support I get is very healthy and good.

Ugh. While I do sympathize and validate the feelings expressed here, someone has just GOT to talk about the elephant in the living room with the pink tutu on!
Reality check here guys...your brains are totes SCREWED up! I don't know what does it. Maybe it's all the fault of My 600lb Life? Dunno...
But OP you've lost 14lbs in ONE WEEK (by your words Aug 21 thru Aug 28--that's 7 days if math serves me). Let me repeat that and shout it out for you: YOU'VE LOST 14 LBS IN ONE FREAKIN' WEEK! Instead of being busted and down, you should want to turn cartwheels. That's amazing! Congrats! Turn that frown upside down and get ready for the very common "3 week stall" that happens somewhere between weeks 2 and 4. You will likely average anywhere from 2-4lbs/week. This is not magic surgery. And WL will never be linear. It's the best thing that's ever happened to most of us. (And for the record? I've NEVER lost 14lbs in one week. EVS.)
    .
I honestly want to ask if you're pullin' our chain? Cuz let's do some more basic math: August 21 - Sept. 4 = 13days. In 13 days you've lost 20lbs. That is WELL over 1lb per day. LOL. That's phenomenal and you can't possibly hope to keep that up. It won't happen. Please read above at the 3week stall phenomenon.
You ladies, need to reality check your brains and reframe how you look at this surgical intervention. This is usually about slow steady progress--not huge losses overnight. But some DO experience those dramatic losses. Hell. You are both experiencing it right now.
Dig in. Sit back. Do the work and enjoy the ride. Cuz the weight loss WILL happen unless you screw the pooch. And nobody wants to screw the pooch.
Congrats to you both. I'd trade places with either of you in a heart beat.

Just passed the 1 month surgery mark. I travel a lot for business and I had an entire strategy about sitting at the back of the planes, trying to secretly put on the seat belt extender, super humiliated if someone sees me do it, and overall just felt really terrible even using one. Today I flew without one on 2 different airlines. No one except me knew why I was smiling so much upon take off. Bye Bye Seat Belt extender!

I went back and read some of your previous posts.....you said "I ate 5 pieces of dark chocolate, some ice cream, and a chocolate chip cookie all in one day" and another post you mentioned eating a "brownie" and trailmix. It really sounds like working with someone in the therapy field to help you work through triggers and habits and understanding why you make those choices would really help you. It's a very hard journey (I am only week 5) and the biggest lessons I've had so far have been from understanding how I became this size in the first place, it's like going through withdraw. You can do this!

My doctors cleared me end of week 2 to do 30 minutes of cycling (on flat roads) by week 4 I was cleared for Golf, running, and anything else I felt like doing. They only asked that i add in 1 extra Protein serving and monitor the color of my urine to make sure I was staying hydrated on the days I worked out. I don't push it, I listen very carefully to my body.
