  13. THANKS EVERYONE for the advice!!! I ended up getting my Cardiologist to sign as my pcp was still on the fence!!!!!
  14. Thank you! This actually helps a good bit! I got some of my sheets of my past diets..(i.e weight watchers etc) to show my checked in weights that were recorded by someone else as well as all the diet pills ive tried and when. I wrote a letter to bring with me to read to him to kind of keep my facts straight so ill hope he says yes!
  15. Im hoping so. IBS has been awful with my gallbladder surgery. there is so much i cant eat without having to prepare to be near a bathroom (i.e. iceberg lettuce, sweets, etc). Im sorry you had that experience with the twix
  16. I’m going to ask them to. Especially with my heart doc recommending it
  17. Thanks! I’ll definitely look into doing that
  18. Yep, bmi is 40 and on meds for BP, Cholesterol, and thyroid. have tried several diets in past already and have shown him documentation for those plus he has had me on several diet pills before that didn't work but he keeps wanting me to try new diet pills and im tired of constantly being on those meds. My vitamins im fine with but the side effects of the diet pills always make me dizzy and nauseous. i saw my cardiologist who did an echo back in june and he said it showed where the walls of my heart are thickening due to thyroid/BP and he recommended me having surgery. he said he has seen great success in patients with it helping their hearts be healthier in the long run. However my PCP is always about shoving meds down peoples throats kind of thing :/
  19. SO... I've already had my gallbladder out prior to be scheduled for VSG. I know this can be a side effect of VSG. My question is if anyone else has had their gallbladder out prior and then have symptoms gotten worse or better after they had the sleeve.
  20. Ill contact my surgeon if my pcp flat out refuses.
  21. You've got this! Its a very safe surgery. you will wake and recover and never look back! good luck and congrats
