  1. Yippee!!:dance:Sounds like your just a letter away....verbal approval...:wow2: Glad to hear that!! :clap2: I find it interesting that we can become so educated on the procedures of a company in a short period of time and help train their employees in the process. We should get paid for training, don't you think? My psychologist wrote the letter I needed. I will call to make sure they get the fax and I dare them to come up with a new excuse. :Banane04: Since Friday is Good Friday, I don't look for an answer until next week. We will be doing the happy dance soon!!
  2. Cheri ~ You are more than welcome!! I'm glad to hear your enjoying your bunny surprise!! I hope it didn't take too long to take off all the saran wrap. :Banane04: I wrapped it pretty good to keep it in the basket on it's journey to you. This was so much fun and I'm looking forward to next time.
  3. Mrs Sabre ~ I am so excited for you!! I am also getting close on an answer from my insurance. God's timing is perfect even though we would like to speed it up sometimes.....human nature creeping in. Sounds like your insurance is on top of things!! I will pray for you.
  4. Diane ~ Thank you so much!! This is going on my hard drive for future reference. You are a super inspiration!! :clap2:
  5. Funny you bring this up....I just noticed this last night. You could copy and paste most, if not all of the posts, made by this member. This person is definitely here to advertise and I am of the opinion that this should be stopped. I don't mind a couple times, but pull this user up and you can clearly see they are here to recruit. They seem to prey upon the posts of individuals that are vulnerable. I'm not for censorship, but other members do have the right get legitimate feedback without having to hear a commercial. That is not the purpose of this site. I didn't know/recognize the little red flag....great tool!!
  6. Wow....congratulations on the road to a new you!! Glad to hear your doing so well.....that's encouraging!! Take care and like they always say, sip...sip...sip!!
  7. Good luck Joy Joy!! You seem very focused and determined. I can't wait to get my band. :biggrin1: Best wishes for you!!
  8. Bless you heart Jana!! I am preband, but wanted you to know I'm here and I will definitely pray for you. I see your a SAHM and even though I hope to get my insurance to pay, I understand your financial concerns. You know, I don't have any experience with this yet, but the first thing that comes to mind is I'm wondering if your tubing is at the proper length? Perhaps that is an issue you can discuss with your surgeon. I'm going to add that to my list of questions for my surgeon as well. Hang in there.....you deserve for this band to work and I know it will once you get over this hurdle. Take care and let us know how things go.
  9. Mvpo8961 ~ Yup, sounds like my insurance company....NGS American....they need to work on some training issues. Isn't is amazing the things they can come up with from day to day? I was told today the lapband is not covered by my insurance. :censored: That info is incorrect, but still, why do some of these insurance companies have a hard time keeping their story straight? You are soooo close!! Hang in there and keep us posted.....I'll do the same. You too nanahanna!! Fight Bulldogs Fight :fencing:
  10. Hey Kim ~ You didn't hijack at all!! This is about all of us that have to fight. After being part of this site, I have heard it all and feel I'm armed and ready. I'm about to pull out a can of pre-menstrual whoop ass on them!! Good for you for staying strong....we will fight together!! Long story short, I now have an advocate that represents the company my husband works for. She handles insurance for our self-funded company. She was told today that they don't even pay for lapband. What a crock. I have taken notes since day one and told her on 1-9-06 at 2:15 PM I talked to Kathy at NGS and she informed me it was a paid benefit. They also said they didn't have my other medical records. I told her I talked to Keely on 1-22-06 and confirmed they were rec'vd. I sent another copy of my records to NGS with Delivery Confirmation (she said it wouldn't pay to overnight them) and when the mail room gets this envelope, they are to hand deliver it to the manager of the Pre D dept. Also, thanks to LBT, I was able to also provide her with the procedure code. I told her about all of you. :biggrin1: She called NGS back and put my file into the hands of management! :clap2: She told them there is no reason for my file to be denied and no reason for me to be waiting this long. She gave them until the end of April to get my file in order and make a decision. She said thinks looked positive and I should be able to get the surgery IF I can get the Psy Eval put into wording of a favorable decision.....it's all about perception. My surgeon's office is going to address this with the psychologist. Boy, it pays to document. I have every date, time, person, and conversation documented from day one. I guess it's a habit from my admin days that seems to be paying off.
  11. Make the "Search" feature more efficient. For example, the results should show posts of searched item instead of a thread where you have to swim through pages of info that doesn't pertain to your search. I just don't get the expected results when using the search button. It's easier to create a new thread in some cases. Thanks!!
  12. I love it!! :pound: I wouldn't mind a piece of that arse.

:clap2: Way to go Philip!! "Since Sat" is a long time in their little lives....good for him!! I know he is very proud b/c my Danny has me check him each time to see if he "got bigger". Of course, he does get bigger each time he uses the potty. :biggrin1: Oh, if you only had your video camera like you said. We do get so busy sometimes with life we forget to catch those special moments we play back in our heads so many times. I can't remember, do you have a dog? Running around in circles.....that is too funny!!! I bet he cleared the yard in a hurry. LMBO Pass the Prozac, will ya?

O.K. Who put the curse on me? My son has pooped out in the yard twice now. Once yesterday and once today. He came running up to me saying, "Mommy, you've gotta come see this". My other son is yelling he pooped again in the yard. My DH took care of the first one and today I had to clean the poop from his little legs and butt. What is up with this? I told my husband someone on LBT must have cursed me b/c I've never heard of this b4. I guess I should be thankful we're not changing poopy pull-ups anymore. There is a bright side to everything.
  15. Good luck....I wish you the best. Make a list of questions to ask at the consult. I asked several myself and I'm still adding questions today to a new list. This is a great place for support. Welcome!!
  16. I'm glad to hear Rocky is over his time mourning. Most do move on, but they never forget. I had a hard time reading that post aloud to my husband. leener ~ Poor Sam....I'm sure he missed his best bud. :cry Hey, thanks for the reminder about Rescue Remedy. I haven't used that for a long time and it would come in handy about now.
  17. :wow2: Diane ~ You look like you weigh your goal right now....really!! How wonderful it must feel. I am so happy for you and thanks for making my heart smile today!! :biggrin1: Success looks great on you!!
  18. Welcome to this neat little community of the best support on the internet!! You'll be glad you came here and I look forward to hearing your words of wisdom as I am preband. :welcome2:
  19. This makes me so sad. First of all, I am so sorry to hear about losing your grandma. I know the pain and sadness. :cry Secondly, my heart is so sad to hear about Lulu. On the other hand, you were a special blessing to her. You made a very difficult decision that helped her find peace and be without pain. You could never know how much pain she was in. Bless her little heart!! Rocky sounds like he is in good hands. I am convinced that animals do mourn. Our lab Malley, mourned the death of her best friend, a cat named Toby. She would run outside and look around waiting for Toby to come. You could see the pain in her eyes. Rocky will always remember his buddy. You did a great thing by taking in both of them!!
  20. This is out of my league....sorry my things are more for preschoolers and toddlers. I also missed the part of the $1000 budget. Definitely do a craft!! Child.com is more for the age range your looking for. Here's another link for you: http://www.child.com/child/category.jhtml?categoryid=/templatedata/child/category/data/1131564720344.xml. The vodka is a good idea....maybe I should try some. Good luck!!
  21. I'm not too worried about the anesthesia, but I do have claustrophobia. One thing I read on this site was that someone was awake in the operating room when they were buckling (is that what they call it?) down their arms & such. When I read that post, I felt my blood turn warm in my entire body. I bring this up to you b/c I've added that to my list of questions/concerns for my surgeon. I cannot be awake when they do this or I may just stand up on the gurney! Good luck to you and be sure to talk to your surgeon about your concerns!!
  22. Hi Jamie ~ I'm kind of a new face around here. This place has been a lifesaver for me (preband) and an endless source of info and support. You can miss a lot if your gone for a day or so. Enjoy catching up of the events. So sorry to hear about your FIL and your chin. :cry We buried my MIL 3 yrs ago, so I can relate in a similar way. My chin is fine though. :rolleyes :heh: Congratulations on your bandiversary and your weight loss!! You are an inspiration!! :clap2: Job well done! :biggrin1: BTW, I'm blonde too and we don't have computers at our McD's in Indiana either.
  23. Thank you...thank you....thank you!! You all give me the strength to fight the fight. Worst case, I am willing to go through another 6 mo diet program, but they will NOT beat me down. They may make me cry, but I will not go away. I just don't know if this would be a legal denial on their part. Also, since we are self-funded insurance, would it help to plead my case at the corporate office....bascially, see if someone would make a call on my behalf to approve the band? I'm reaching here. Mvpo8961 ~ Thanks! You hang in there too. You are so close and I will keep you in my prayers!
  24. I wish you the very best tomorrow!! I will say a prayer for you. Not much help on the name thing. I haven't thought much about it myself. I think there is a thread around here somewhere with names. Perhaps you should consider your screen name....great things come in small packages!! :gluck:
  25. Kudos to Kasey!! He drove an excellent race and passed my man Smoke....boo hoo. :cry KK has one of the cutest smiles I've ever seen. One of my favorite commercials is where the girls are drooling over KK and wreck. :heh: Oh well, I'm proud that Tony drove the race like the true veteran that he is and that they compared him to the late great Earnhardt. Not sure he's quite there yet, but he's paving his way in the NASCAR history books. Did anyone hear Tony call DW a wuss? That was a fun exchange between them. Tony said if he won, DW would have to climb the fence with him.....DW said he needed a net.
