Today is day four post op. I have had insane mood swings (also was having PMS the past few days) but this morning they took my drain out ( have someone's hand to squeeze for that awful part) and afterwards I feel like a new person. I'm finally going home today after such a long stay and I feel totally ready for that. For everyone in recovery now, know that I reached some extremely low points over the past few days but I got through it and you will too!

18 hours left for me but I have to be there in about 17 hours

Day 2 and I honestly have to say that I feel amazing. I am now drinking liquids which is going down smoothly. Walks have been amazing. Me and my roommate have a walking schedule which makes it more fun. The spirometer is also a fun little gadget. I felt nauseous a couple of times but they gave me some medicine for that, and haven't had a problem since. My incisions looks lovely, no pain whatsoever. Now I am waiting for lunch which will be Jello and chicken broth. I will let you amazing people know how that is going for me. And again I wanna thank everyone for the lovely warm wishes yesterday and for constantly checking in on me, you guys rock

I’m having surgery tomorrow too mine is at 5am in riverside. I’m so excited I will be praying for both of us.

Thanks!!!! I hope your surgery go smooth as well. Every here that had their surgery is doing great. I just got lunch, so I'm going to see how eating goes for me now, if all goes well I will be able to go home tomorrow.

Happy Birthday and Going Home Day Kimber628. That would be an extra special gift this year!

I converted from sleeve to bypass yesterday (June 26) to help with reflux. The recovery this time is so much better, as I knew what to expect. I am bummed I’m off the good IV pain meds, as I do feel like I’ve been beat up in my mid-section. I just walk the halls and stick to drinking my 15cc of Water every 15 minutes. I hope to go home tomorrow, on my 40th birthday!! I hope everyone else is doing great.

I was sleeved yesterday. Horrible gas pains but I was a trooper and walked like crazy and today is not so bad. I was getting Water down okay (in small quantities) but the Jello and the apple juice is a lot :\

Hey everyone I'm checking in again while my head is clear. I've been walking a lot and as far as pain goes I am still doing okay. I haven't started liquid, I think they will bring it around 6 (which is around the corner) as far as being hungry I don't have an appetite, however I am super thirsty. I love the way walking feels on my body. So for everyone having surgery today try to walk as much as possible it will help with that tense feeling your body might feel afterwards. Again thanks to everyone for wishing me luck and checking up on me I truly appreciate every single last one of you

Today is the day, good bye excess stomach hello banana 🍌shaped stomach, lol. Can I get some good luck vibes this morning? Speaking of good morning vibes, Good morning everybody. Everyone one who is having their surgery today, tomorrow, and Friday may you have a successful surgery and may your recovery period be as "easy as Sunday morning" *fingers, toes, & eyeballs crossed* lol. I will post as soon as possible. As I stated before this is my first surgery, so hopefully I'll be okayish later in the evening. Btw this anxiety stomach dropping feeling that I am getting every 2 min is annoying.... Have an amazing day everyone 🧡

I'm actually doing quite good as far as pain goes. I feel like I'm at a level 4ish on the pain chart. It was only bad when I first got out of surgery but now the pain is simmering down.
