Hey Guys! I'm chipping away at my May goal... down another pound! Come on 210! I am doing cardio 5 days a week now and weight 3 days for a total of about 8 hours of exercise a week. Who woulda thought that I would EVER do that? Alicia - How is the unfill treating you? Hope all is going well! Myra - I know what you means about the undies thing... I've had to replace panties and bras a couple of times. I've gone from a 44DD to a 38D. I hope to get to a 36C or 36D. Bras are tooo expensive! Drews - are you kicking roller derby butt? 3loves - how is that fill treating you? Linda - How goes it? Have you reached wonderland yet? Hope so! Duckie - Where are you? Hope all is well!

Feeling Down
Julie! I don't have any words of wisdom.. I wish that I did! I just wanted to congratualte you on your weight loss, you have done great so far! I'm sure that the fill will halp to kickstart your weight loss. Do you drink enough water? Are you eating good, solid protein, how many calories are you consuming, are you exercising? Those are the first things to track when you hit a plateau. I wish you the best of luck with your son, and I am soo sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. One thing to consider is.. that the people who are in your life are there because they are supposed to be. Those who aren't in your life are not meant to be. I think that I heard Joel Osteen do a sermon about this. I send you hugs, support and encouragement and offer you a ear to bend any time that you need it. Now, go get that fill!

Drews! Wow! It is amazing how different you look! I'll have to rummage around for some good before pics. My cousin took some official ones a couple of days before surgery for me. Then someone stole her digital camera before she got them to me( 9 months later). There are plenty of fat pics of me out there.. I'll try to post them soon.

Hey Marci! How have you been lately? I am so proud of you for doing 3 miles a day! RUNNING A MILE?!!! That is awesome. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm scared to try and run.. I've never been able to run without gasping for breath 30 seconds into it. I guess I'm afraid that I still won't be able too... maybe I'll give it a try in the next few weeks. You are an inspiration. People... I am definitely gonna have to add more cardio throughout my week. I think that my body has grown used to the 3 days a week(2 hours per day) workouts, cause my weight loss is S_L_O_W even after a pretty tight fill. Okay.. those damn Reeses Peanut Butter cup mini easter eggs don't help anything either. Easter candy is baaaaad. People keep bringing it to work, my mom always has it around.. its EVERYWHERE!! Why oh, why does chocolate go down sooo easily? OK, whine is over! Keep up the great work Maysters! Time for a new Challenge!! My one year bandaversary is May 26th! I am setting a goal of 194 lbs. That means that I need to lose 20 lbs in just over nine weeks! Anyone else wanna do a bandaversary challenge?

Wow! Congrats to 3loves on the 6 lbs lost! You are on a roll now! I did sip on some Aloe Vera juices and only ate soupy stuff for the rest of the day. I feel fine now... it was almost instant relief when all the slime and food came up. Drews - Sorry you've plateaued.. definitely up the Protein.. and maybe increase your calories by 200 - 300. I've been plateuaed again for a couple of weeks, man that gets frustrating. Part of my problem is that I have been eating chocolate....darned Easter candy! Alicia - I just missed my St. Paddy's goal too.. I think my last 50 lbs is going to be slow... I need to add cardio exercise on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I can't seem to find the time. I can't wait for it to get warm enough to uncover the pool and start swimming some laps.. Yep, the R&R stuff has gotten out of hand.... I don't know about you guys, but I'm just not gonna argue with complete strangers about everything under the sun. That stuff needs to take a back seat to band support, ya know? Or at least they should not make the R & R posts pop up in the latest posts area. I am soooo tired of seeing the Anti-Semiticism (sp?) in France heading that I could barf!

Go Myra! Keep it up girl! I am SOOO happy that your health is moving in a more positive direction. Soon you may be able to say goodbye to insulin forever! Well... I am no longer a PB virgin. After just short of 10 months of being banded, I had my first PB yesterday. It was painful and gross.. but I was soo glad that the food came back up(very painful until then). I ate Breakfast out with my parents and grandmother who is in very poor health... I'm not sure why the 1/4 of a bacon and egg sandwich that I ate didn't go down. It must have been too dry or I ate too fast, or I was stressed from trying to get my oxygen dependant grandmother situated... I had drank about 16 oz. of Water and some hot coffee before I ate.. must have been the toasted bread... Needless to say, I won't do that again! Didn't make it home before it all came back up, and OMG the SLIME!!! EEEK!!! At least I know what to expect now. Hope everyone is doing well... Oh, and I missed my St. Paddy's challenge by a couple of pounds.. OH WELL!!! New challenge anyone?

Below is the breakdown.. Neck -2.75 inches! Arms - 10 inches! Chest -9 inches! Waist -13 inches! Hips -12.5 inches! (My thighs are waaay smaller now, I wish they had measured them in the beginning). WOOOHOOO!!!! Come on!!!! 2 MORE pounds to my St. Paddy's goal! 100 ounces of Water and 2 hours of exercise today!!! Let's get moving people!

May Bandsters~March Chat!
Myra - That's a great looking elliptical. Please let me know how you like it. I would love to have one. Congrats on the weight loss! You are doing great!
-
May Bandsters~March Chat!
Myra - Congrats on the 14 lbs! That's great! What kind of elliptical did you order? Have fun with it! I love elliptical machines. I would love to have a Precor one like I use @ the gym, but it costs like $5,000. Paladin - Good thoughts headed your way regarding that 2nd fill! Remind me, how many cc's in the first fill? I have 2.5 cc in mine now, and I definitely have restriction! I'm feeling pretty good now.. I am NOT having any symptoms of a slip, thank goodness! Hope you have a very productive trip to Oklahoma! Drews - kick some roller derby butt, girl! Alicia - Congrats on getting into that size 10! Have fun with your family activities, that is a wonderful thing! Marz - My cycles were out of wack the first several months after surgery (2 cycles a month), but now I seem to back to my 28 day cycle. I've been told the hormones stored in fat cells theory as well. Makes sense to me! Later Maysters!

May Bandsters~March Chat!
Drews - Thanks for starting the new thread. I'm so sorry you've had such a tough time of late with the knee injury and the flu thing. Spring is upon us and I wish for you a wonderful beginning to a new season! I missed exercising all last week as well because of that stomach virus thing I had. I know how you feel! On to a better March! Good luck at the ortho doc, I hope you will be up and skating really soon! WOW!! Can you guys believe we are rapidly approaching our first Bandiversary? I saw some friends of the family on Friday, I hadn't seen them since before my banding because they are working out of the state. Needless to say, their mouths flew open and they were almost speechless at how different I look. They were sooo sweet, and they made me feel sooo good. I wish I could see myself the way they saw me! I mean, I feel different, clothes are always too big, but when I look in the mirror, I don't SEE 101 lbs lost. Know what I mean? Will I always see the same ole' fat Kim?

Thanks Linda!

May Bandsters~February Chat!
Well, I'm feeling better. Still a little worried that I may have caused a "slip". My surgeons office said as long as I'm not vomitting, having acid reflux, etc. that it should be okay. All I know is my guts are sore! Glad you survived that virus Missy!
-
May Bandsters~February Chat!
Thanks Myra! Hey Drews! I had some phenegran and zophran, but I still vomitted a lot. Those meds basically knocked me out and when I woke up, I started the vomitting again. I hope you feel better soon! I'm at work and not happy about it...

May Bandsters~February Chat!
Hey everyone! I'm back.... Sorry I haven't posted lately. This is my first day to work this week. I woke up about 2:00 AM Saturday feeling, not right. Really nauseous and yucky. Well, that was the beginning of 72 hours of vomitting and diarreha... evidently I got the stomach flu/virus that has been going around. NOT FUN!!! Have you guys every really had to vomit since being banded? Well, I hadn't. I have never even PB'd. I was sooo scared that with each time I was gonna cause my band to slip. I ate my first food last night since Saturday evening.. and I still seem to have restriction and I haven't had any reflux or anything, so hopefully everything is fine with my band. Man, I hope none of you guys ever get this stomach virus, it was bad. My entire chest, neck, and back area is sore from all the wretching. After not having eaten for almost three days and all that came with the virus, I lost about 3 lbs. Which means that since my highest weight, I've lost 101 lbs. This WAS NOT how I wanted to celebrate my 100 lbs lost! Thanks for listening everyone, sorry if it was TMI. Remember WASH YOUR HANDS CONSTANTLY!!! Especially if you go to the gym and use equipment after other folks.. this may be where I picked this thing up from. Okay.. enough about me.. MARZ, I'm sooo glad that your nephew is home and doing better. I'm sure that the billboard was awesome for him, that was so considerate of you guys. Linda - Keep up the great work! Neal - your family is adorable, congrats on the fitting into the seat thing. Don't you just love that? Alicia - I'm planning a "Girlfriend Getaway" for my anniversary with my best buds in the world... got to get it planned... Vegas? The Caribbean? Who knows? Paladin - how's the job thing?the move? When is 3loves getting that fill? Later Maysters!
-
Goal Met
Neal, you are awesome! I'm sooo happy for you my fellow Mayster! You are definitely an inspiration in MANY ways! Congrats!

May Bandsters~February Chat!
Marz - good luck with the fiber thing... I had the same issue when I travelled to St. Augustine for New Years weekend. I wasn't able to get enough Water in. That is sooo miserable. Hope everything gets moving. 3Loaves! Hello! I'm so happy to hear from you! Wow! Sounds like you guys are having a lot of stuff change! I'm sorry Paladin will not be able to get the band right now and that he is working away from home.. that must be difficult. All things happen for a reason, so I'm sure everything will work out for the best. I'm sorry you are struggling with those darned food demons, they can be mighty powerful can't they? I found myself falling into some of my old habits right before my 3rd fill (this last Tuesday). Now, I'm back on the road to Onederland!! I think you need that fill. It definietly takes more than one to get restriction. Mine cost me about $120, so hopefully yours won't be much more than that. BIG, HUGE HUGS TO YOU! SOOOO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!! Please stick around... we will help you get through the rough times! You CAN and WILL DO THIS!!! GOOO SMOKE! GOOO DALE JR!
