Hey 3loves! Thanks... It has been difficult, but I'm glad I've done the liquid diet thing... Only a few more days... Its amazing how the high-protein liquids help with hunger.. the hardest part is the not chewing thing.. I figure my experience with this will be helpful post surgery! Are you ready? I know I am!

AWWWWW 3loves! He looks so angelic in that pic, how cute! Man that wasn't the look he had on his face when he climbed out of his car Saturday night after tangling with Kenseth, HE WAS TICKED! I think Kenseth was wrong, he kept saying that he was practically in the grass, didn't know how Tony could have even have gotten underneth him... HELLO>> he was in the MIDDLE of the track.. Seems like they both got loose to me and "wallered" all over each other.... Glad it wasn't a points race for Tony!

Reliefband Anyone?
Hello! I was wondering if anyone was sent home with a "Reliefband" for nausea after banding? :success1: My surgeon places one around the wrist to help prevent the feelings of nausea. They say that nausea has been found to originate from the fingertips. The Reliefband is about the shape and size of a wristwatch. It is placed around your wrist to send painless electrical signals to the nerves in the wrist, which wil stop the transmission of nausea feelings to the brain. I think they said that it would last about 7 days. My surgeons office says that they have had excellent response from patients who are sent home with them.. Anyone have one? If so, did it help? I guess I'll find out if it works on the 26th!

Gardening Questions and Pictures
Okay people, I don't know anything about gardening, but I gotta say that you guys are doing some awesome things with your yards and gardens! Very impressive! About the mole thing... my grandmother (83 years old, on oxygen and avid gardener with a major green thumb) bought some little battery operated things that you stick in the ground to get rid of them. These things emit some kind of sound that moles don't like... I thought that might be an alternative to traps.. She deployed this method after she got ticked off at the moles because they ate all of her Easter Lily bulbs a couple of years ago.. I had sold the Lilys to her when I was in kindergarten (I'm 34 years old now) for a school fund raiser and every year they would bloom and she would call me over to her house and we would admire them... Now she is determined to win the battle against the moles! I'll try to find out if she is winning the battle and let you guys know more about the device!

Hey Cloe! It is really difficult isn't it? People keep forgetting that I'm doing the liquid thing and ask me out for lunch or dinner! I'm trying to stick pretty close to home in the evenings and bring my liquids to work with me.. that free's up my lunch hour for shopping! (Note: this could be detrimental to my checking account) EEK!! EEK! 4:30 is early! You'll definitely get some nap time in the car!

May 2006 Band Crew
Hey Everyone! Congrats on those who have gotten your band so far! Sound like you guys are kicking butt! Hey 3loves and Cloe! Glad to see you guys are hanging in their. This liquid diet thing stinks! I may never "eat" chicken broth again! I was glad to get my pre-testing done.. The minute I got their they handed me paperwork about the Bariatric Upper GI stating that I shouldn't take my morning meds before the procedure, well that would have been nice to know BEFORE I arrived at the hospital! I had already taken my meds...When they called to schedule me for the pre-testing they told me no eating or drinking after midnight the night before, but forgot to mention the no taking meds thing! Luckily I had taken them really early yesterday with just a tiny sip of Water so, they went ahead with the Upper GI! My EKG was good, blood pressure was good, so as long as everything in the blood work and Upper GI looks okay, I've got the green-light for surgery on the 26th! WOOO HOOO! I'm supposed to arrive at the hospital at 7:45 AM and surgery should be at 9 or 10AM. 3loves - 1.5 lbs is great! Especially since you don't have to be doing the Optifast thing at all! What a pal you are! The liquid thing is very difficult to stick to... last night I cooked supper for my parents and brother.. while they gobbled up pork chops and veggies, I sipped on broth! I was proud that I didn't give in to the temptation to sample my cooking! On Suday we had a get together at my grandmother's house for Mother's Day.. My aunt had made homemade strawberry cake and homemade wet chocolate cake.. I got to sit between my cousin and aunt on the sofa while they gobbled down cake and ice cream and talked about how delicious they were! I didn't have any though!:speechles :speechles:speechles That was tough!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Grays has me eating!!!
I'm pissed! They killed off the Dog and the cute guy! I loved Denny! I was bawling like a baby last night when Izzie was lying in that hospital bed holding onto him! And how sweet was Alex?! I'm totally over Meredith and McDreamy, they need to either get over it or be together! She needs to gain some weight, she a stick figure! That show stresses me out! But I love it! Two hours on Desperate Housewifes this Sunday... I can't wait!
