Express is a chain of clothing stores.. I know they are here in the south, not sure about other parts of the country. Kind of like the Gap or Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch.. . Stacey - We fared well here in the Chattanooga area. Storms coming from that direction always seem to break up or weeken when they approach our area. I swear they weeken and split when they get to all the mountains around here. We had the thunder, lightening and rain, but that was about it. That was enough, it had my dogs scared to death! I hope all of you Tennessee Bandster and your familys fared as well as we did here!

I've told just about anyone that would listen (family, friends, co-workers, bosses, etc)... I'm the type of person that needs a lot of input, and most people know someone who has either had the band or RNY, so I got a lot of information that way. I'm waiting to hear from my Inso Co. so that I can schedule my date.. Yeah!! The only down-side to me about telling everyone is that I worry that I might fail to lose the weight, my body might "reject" the band, and all those other things that pre-banders might worry about. In that case (I hope and pray that this isn't the case) it will be difficult to have to explain what happened.. I feel like the support that I've received from people that I have told out-weighs that risk. I've received mostly positive responses, a few skeptical, and one "have you considered a personal trainer?" response. By the way, welcome YODA!

Hello! I just wanted to let everyone know about a great movie that I saw this weekend. It is called Phat Girlz and Mo'Nique (The Parkers) is the star. This movie is GREAT!!! There are so many things and situations in this movie that I could relate to (weight related). I laughed, I cried.. You gotta go see it. Monique plays a plus-sized fashion designer-wanna be who is trying to find acceptance in a skinny-girl world and has to learn how to love herself! I really encourage anyone who has ever felt scorned, embarrassed,or left-out of the world (because of weight issues)to go see it, it is very inspiring! I wanna be a Thick Madame (you gotta see the movie to get this)! There were parts that were a little over the top, but all and all both myself and my skinny cousin that went with me enjoyed it a lot! It is rated PG-13, by the way. Anyone else seen it? If anyone does, let me know what you think! Later my LBT friends!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

3loves - I love that commercial too! It cracks me up every time I see it. I'm embarrassed to admit that it looks like something that my friends and I would have happen because we got distracted by a hottile like Kasey! I didn't see much of the race (mall was calling my name), so I didn't see the exchange with DW and Smoke.. they have a very interesting love-hate (mostly hate) relationship. Dody - are you coming to Tennessee for your surgery? What part? I'm having mine done at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga (If I ever get an answer from inso co). Safe trip! It's beautiful here right now! I wouldn't mind having Kasey, Dale Jr. or Smoke in my lingerie drawer, but I think Gordon would be the only one that would fit in it... I'd have to gag him with a bra cause I couldn't stand to hear him whining to get out.. (sorry missy, but I'm trying to goad you into this one) McMurray would fit too, he's a little bitty guy, but all that hair gel he uses might gunk up my undies and bras.. He seems high maintenance... I was happy to see Richard Childress' cars running good yesterday.. Too bad the Shrub took Bowyer out on the last lap.. Oh, and how bout big brother Busch punting Biffle? I thought there was going to be a cat-fight when Biffle's girlfriend went down to give Busch's fiance a piece of her mind. Somebody's gonna give one or both of the Busches a butt-kicking one of these days... Where's Jimmy Spencer when you need him??? Later my fellow NASCAR buddies! Glad you joined our thread Jeff! I've actually been through Dover before, saw the track (hard to miss!). Went antiquing at some of the shops along the highway there.. nice place. Was coming from Altantic City headed back to Tennessee (long story short, took the long way home in order to go over and through the Chesapeke Bay Bridge/tunnel). That was cool! Always glad to have another Nascar fan join our discussions.. Martin is from Jersey isn't he?

Welll.. I'm 5' 7" and weigh 306 lbs. I currently wear 24 - 26 in pants and 22/24 or 26/28 in tops. I don't remember sizes that I wore during high-school or junior high... Seems like I went from the half-sizes @ Sears as a little girl (seems like they called them Huffy sizes?, that can't be right) to Lane Bryant with nothing in between. So, even at 6 or 7 years old, I couldn't wear "normal" clothes. I would love to wear a size 8, but I'd settle for not having to shop at big-girl, plus size, women size stores.. Can't wait to get my band!!!

3loves, your family sounds like mine.. We're always giving each other a hard time about our respective drivers.. Sounds like your mom is a hoot when it comes to Gordan.. A life-size cut-out? Haha! I don't know about the cleft lip thing, my dad had one and he sounds normal, but he does wear a mustache to cover it. I think Gordon has a deviated septum or whatever it is that makes people sound that way. I lost a lot of respect for Gordon over the cheating on Brooke deal, but hey... We don't know the real or entire story so, who knows how it really went down... My grandmother and great aunt (83 and 81 years old) are huge Jeff Gordon fans, I can't say anything even remotely offensive about him or they get their feathers all ruffled up.. I have to say that I hope Gordon does show the "real him" if the real him is a little ballsier, he just has always seemed kind of wimpy to me... Tacwoman.. where are you moving to in the south? Waaard Burton definitely has that West Vaginiaaa drawl... Elliott Sadler has it as well.. I think Ward has a speach impediment as well, so his is really pronounced. I hear he might start racing in trucks or Bush again before long, he's too good a driver to not be in something... What I could never figure out is why Ward's brother, Jeff doesn't have the same accent? I probably shouldn't talk about accents, I definitely have that Tennessee southern drawl... Every time I go to Vegas or California people ask where I'm from.... They'll just over-hear us talking and ask if we're from Georgia or Texas! They all think its "cute". I like that commerical too, I think Jimmy Johnson is the other driver in it.. Its a Chevy Commerical, cracks me up when Junior says "Let's Eat"... They do have some awesome commercials, I always enjoyed the ones with Michael Waltrip and Dale Jr. like they were selling NAPA parts on QVC or something, pretty funny!! I like rain delays and pre-race shows because it gives us fans a chance to get to know the drivers better. I saw one show about all the dogs that different drivers and teams have. I'm a huge dog-lover, so that was cool! I really admire Ryan Newman and his wife Chrissy because they are really active with organizations trying to save animals from being euthanized and finding them homes....

Funny, I always called Rusty crybaby and for a while I called J.Gordon whiney... Guess we all evolve in our opinions...I do think that J.Gordon whines (he's a little nasally), but I'm also a big enough girl to admit that he's a hottie! I actually think Jimmie Johnson is cute too, just that he's too much of a goody-too-shoes for me, I guess. Do you guys ever vote on the Fox Sports Sexiest Driver award thingy? Dale Jr. won last year, and I have to say that as much as I love him, HE IS NOT THE SEXIEST driver in Nascar(most poplular yes, but most sexy nun-huh). Every year Kasey Kahne gets screwed out of that deal because all the Jr and J. Gordon fans vote for whoever is against Kasey so that Jr and J. Gordon won't have to face him (they have it set up in a bracket kind of like a play-off thing). Right now the voting is for Elliott Sadler versus Kasey Kahne and Elliott is ahead with 80-something percent. NOW COME ON!!! Elliott seems like a nice guy but sexier than KASEY? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! But if Elliott beats him, Gordon will win the bracket.. I just wish it was a fair representation... But hey, when your rich and famous and doing what you love to do, do you really care if you are voted Sexiest?? Dale Jr. seemed to be pretty embarrassed about the whole thing last year when they presented him their little award.... He seems really shy, which is one of the reasons I like him so much....
