I have my EDG on Tuesday, sleep study, stress stess, and psy eval and I can be submitted. I'm hoping for a June date. Do I really need someone to with me at the EDG??

Wow! How were able to blood work, psych eval, EKG and endoscopy in the same day? Not just cost (unless you've reached your deductible) but all those doctors to be avail on the same day.

I'm thinking I may have a June surgery date as well. I'm kinda hesitant because I have some travel plans June and July and don't want to feel bad while out of town...

ALL great questions I will ask at my next appointment. But, yes she's (my current doctor) very approchable and board certified. What I do know is that she isn't doing a lot of surgeries currently. No sure of the reason...

The doctor office I spoke to today performs the surgery at a center of excellence my current doctor performs the surgery at a smaller hospital that is not considered a centernof excellence.

Uggghh, I found a lot of information about local support groups and a program with another doctor. With my current doctor all I have left is my psych eval and my 3rd appointment is Thursday before I can get cleared for surgery. I believe the other doctor has more experience under his belt and performs the proceedure at a more equipped facility...uggghh decisions

I can work from home as well but I will take at least 5 days off. I have plenty of vaction/sick time.
