Post surgery struggles
Take it one day at a time. Each day make better choices. But you lost 32 lbs POST surgery. That is awesome in my book!!! I should be submitted for pre authorization and haven't lost any weight. I feel like my doctor's program doesn't offer much support and I'm on my own. Not transferring the blame on my doctor of my failures but 37 years of poor eating isn't easy to kick.

Behavior mod and nutrition class today. Go or no go
I was listening to Dr. V's youtube a few days ago and he said something that stuck with me. Food is be used as energy to fuel your dreams. All the things you may have wanted to do can be done if you think of food in that way. Having a "cheat meal" all the time is only cheating yourself out of meeting your dreams or goals...?

Boss Wants Me to Delay Surgery
WHAT!!!? 1. It's very insensitive of your manager to say since it elective surgery so it can wait and then give YOU a time when he/she feels it should be done. 2. I would review your FMLA policy, short term disability and PTO time to determine how much time you will have available. 3. After reviewing those policies keep in mind you may heal sooner or later than what your doctor recommends. 4. Tell your manager how that made you feel AND contact someone in employee relations. Give them the details and allow them to chime in and provide your manager some effective coaching. 5. Keep your surgery date as planned. This is NOT a vaction where he/she can give you suggested times you can be out based on business needs. Is he/she crazy??!!

Insurance wuestio
I would say review your insurance to determine how long you have to wait in order to be submitted for pre certification. Review all costs and test you may be required to get such as EGD, stress test, sleep test. I have a high deductible plan and WISHED someone broke down the costs to me. I'm a single mother on a budget and my surgeon's office calls me like "ok, your scheduled next week for your EDG wich may cost $2600 (estimate). Uggghh that sent me over the edge.

Bariatric haul! What have you bought for your journey or plan to buy?
Ok, so just went to Costco. One bought a few items. Water, trash bags, laundry soap and the premier protein drinks. They had vanilla, chocolate and carmel. My issues is I want variety and not really a fan of having the same flavor all the time. So, I got the vanilla hoping I can add ice and blend it with maybe strawberries...right?? My other question when you go to Costco what do you buy?

If they take out the hormone that makes you crave food....
Yea, I don't have a particular issue either but I'd be interested to hear what a behavior therapist would say and how they could help change some eating behaviors...

Question. Why get protein power and the ready to drink premier protein? Can't you have one or the other?

Legal food on the run: Convenience foods that work and strategies for restaurants
A lot of places have low calorie options and seem to accommodate certain diet restrictions.

Legal food on the run: Convenience foods that work and strategies for restaurants
With my son playing sports and always hungry when I pick him up from school I keep a cooler in the trunk. The hassle is dumping the water out and refilling with ice but it worked. I'd save money on going to the drive thru and he'd have a better foor option. I think I'll add some protein shakes and other things in there for me. I'm also a drive up queen.

Ouuuu Red Lobster is my FAVORITE! I know I'll have to say clear away from that place until I am not in any of the pre and post op phase. ?
