  1. It normally takes me 3 months to go through my 60 count of Norco (I have them because my back is fussed from T2-T12). I went through 1 bottle the month after surgery. The pain in my shoulder from the gas used during surgery was so bad for 3 weeks. The pain lasted longer then any other gas pain I had from any of the abdomen surgeries when the gas was used.
  2. I’m at the same place you are. My surgery was May 16th. I have only lost 25 since surgery, but 35 since Jan. That’s when my doctor counts it from.
  3. I had A Fundolipaction 12 years ago to repair a Hiatal hernia. It came undone & forced my esophagus into an L shape & 1/2 of my stomach was above my diaphragm. I had a bypass 2 months ago. My BMI is in the 30’s. My dr made my stomach a little bigger & didn’t bring as much of my intestines up. He isn’t a Bariatric Dr. He’s a Thorasic/Esophagus dr.
  4. I had A RNY in May. I don’t have problems with gas at all. I’m constipated most of the time & I’ve read that that’s normal too. Everyone is different after surgery so who knows what your body will do.
  5. Talk to the supervisor who’s name you have! Something isn’t right. I’m don’t think anything is fishy, i just think no one knows what they are talking about!
  6. I started using the vitamin patches from PatchMD for this same reason. I was Grinding my pills & taking them with applesauce. I just Couldn’t do it anymore so I just started taking them.
  7. The 1st week is rough! Keep you chin up!
  8. Thank you so much for all the encouragement! You are awesome!
  9. I feel the same way, I take A stool softener every night, use Miralax or prune juice every couple of days. I buy the enemas by the 6 pack! Try to drink more water. I’m almost 2 months out.
  10. I had Mine May 16th. Things are going slow. I have lost almost 30 pounds. I had mine for medical reasons. My starting weight was 200, but I’m only 5’1”. How about you?
  11. My stomach was really bloated for the 1st 4 weeks or so. I was so constipated. I now take a stool softener every day & have Metamucil every other day. I’m 6 weeks out now & I have finaly been feeling well enough to do more. I had A RNY.
  12. I sleep with mine every night so my husband doesn’t hit?
  13. I have Slept with a Cpap for over 12 years. Put it on every night. It takes some getting use to, but I find that most people aren’t persistent & give up on it to easily & too soon.
  14. I’m 6 weeks out from my RNY & just now starting to have hunger/fullness feelings. I think our bodies are just in shock from what we just put them through & they don’t know how to feel yet!
  15. I’m constipated all the time! That’s my new normal. I’m only 6 weeks out so I’m not eating a variety of foods yet, I’m too scared to do that. I just keep taking stool softeners & Miralax which takes a couple of days to work.
  16. I too have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. I had a RNY a month ago. I constantly have to over come the temptation to not eat sugar! I have to to remind myself “Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels!” It’s my new mantra. I’m just tired of being chubby. I can feel my body getting worse from extra weight. I want to feel better, I wanna get out and do things! I’m tired of sitting on the couch! I guess you have to get to that point yourself & decide what is important to you. Maybe your not ready to make that big of a change.
  17. Wow. How miserable you must be! I hope you get some answers soon !
  18. I break my Norco pills in 1/2 with my fingers. They are oblong.
  19. I was like that the first 2 weeks. Now I at one month out I just have the nausea & I’m tired if I have done too much the day before. When was your surgery?
  20. I was like that the first 2 weeks. Now I at one month out I just have the nausea & I’m tired if I have done too much the day before. When was your surgery?
  21. I felt the same way today in my jeans!
  22. I feel ya, I have been taking 2 stool softeners a day, Miralax & enema. Nurse told me it could take 2-3 days for it to start working
  23. Could you have a sinus or ear infection? You might be Anemic.
  24. We went to the movies tonight (1st time post op) I bought a bottle of water & added an Isagenix Hydrate pack to it to drink. I didn’t sit between my husband & daughter because I didn’t want to popcorn being passed over me!
  25. Once you get your insurance going see if they have a nurse or dietitian that you can talk to. We have Cigna & they have been so helpful especially the dietitian!
