  1. So glad you were able to enjoy your day! 6 months ago you also wouldn’t have had the energy to last that long at Cedar Point!
  2. I have always taken mine to the hospital with me & I have never used it their.
  3. I take about 14 pills a day. I don’t crush them. That was too biter!!! I just Take them with my morning protein drink or water. I still need the cpap. I tried sleeping without it for a few nights & my husband says I still have apnea. I have lost 60 pounds.
  4. Ice! You can freeze water in a Dixie cup & then use the big ice cube to massage your hip. I have also used a “muscle roller stick” on my hip when it felt like a very, very tight muscle in my hip. A foam roller can also help.
  5. Wow! This could explain why I am So much more emotional!
  6. Does your insurance have a nurse or nutritionist you can talk to? We have Cigna. I would speak with one or the other every 2-3 weeks in the beginning. I had A RNY for medical reasons, my BMI was 33 so I had A Thorasic Surgon. He told me to get all my info from the internet.
  7. Have you already had WLS or any kind of esophagus or stomach surgery before?
  8. It could also be the anesthesia leaving your system. I have quite often found myself an emotional wreck 5-14 days after a surgery. I’ve had 12 surgeries in my 54 years!
  9. Way to go! That’s where I wanna be! How tall are you?
  10. That’s better!!!!!
  11. Oops. I’m hoping you made a typo and you weighted 295.2 yesterday morning!
  12. I sometimes have to take a swallow of water at the end of my meal just to get the taste of the food out of my mouth. My husband makes me get water when we go out just to make the server feel better?
  13. I actually blended up some roast that I made for the family with some of the juice. It was really good. I also did some of the carrots too
  14. There is an app called Get-2-Goal. It tracks your weight and lets you know see where you show be according to your weight & procedure.
  15. Throw a handful away every time you think about eating some! Take control of getting rid of them?
  16. Be stronger then the cheese balls! Can you move them out of your site? That’s what I have to do when I’m tempted by a food that has been brought into the house that is my weakness.
  17. I got these at Sprouts in the medical refrigeration area. They are very small. I take them twice a day.
  18. I had a RNY because of a previous failed surgery (10 years ago) to correct my L shaped esophagus. 1/2 of my stomach was above my diaphragm. Food was getting stuck just about every day. My BMI was about 34. I didn't have to do any of the pre-op things that people with high BMI’s have to do. My doctor wasn’t a WLS surgeon. He was a thoracic surgeon & told me to find all of my info on the internet. After I decided I wanted to do the surgery it was only 2 months til I had it. I spoke with a nurse and a nutritionist through my insurance (Cigna) several times before & after my surgery. I am 13 months out from my surgery. I have lost 65 lbs. I would like to loose 5 more to get me to the top end of a healthy BMI for my height. The weight has dropped pretty easily & I know it’s gotta be exercise that takes off the last 5. I also know I would not have lost 65 lbs on my own. Now I just got to keep it off & that scares me Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
  19. I had that Lichen stuff 15 years ago. It was awful! I get really paranoid when I 1st feel the thrush! I have been to the dr & had a pap done to rule out any STD’s. And I didn’t have any! PRAISE JESUS!
  20. I keep getting a yeast infection or thrush since my RNY a year ago. I take acidophilus twice a day but about every 3 weeks I need to take a Diflucan. Anyone else have trouble with too much yeast? I don’t eat bread or carbs, I hardly have any sugar.
  21. I just pureed what I made for the family. A roast puréed with the juice was amazing! Cooked carrots were good too!

  23. Most of the incisions will be above your waist so it should be fine.
