  1. That may be part of why I'm looking for a new job.
  2. That's pretty much what a lot of the IF videos said, how fasting has been part of religious traditions forever. Just one of the perks of being religious.
  3. I haven't posted in a while - Grilled chicken quesadillas, grape tomatoes and low-fat sour cream on 1/2 Flatout wrap. No afters, yum!
  4. Is 4:30 late enough to be a make-up day for Ramadan?
  5. I'll bet you get plenty of exercise!
  6. How old are your babies?
  7. Still might be worth it as an investment in your long-term success. And you've got challenges that most of the rest of us don't have, working in the food industry and all the travel.
  8. Well, at least none of us will advise you to cut back on cardio! ?
  9. I feel for you. We've all got this love/hate relationship with food and also an absolute terror of going back to where we started. You might benefit from checking back in with your nutritionist or therapist.
  10. No idea. But it's been much less of a hassle since my throat has been healing up.
  11. Soooo close. Life is just a tease! Glad to hear you're doing well!
  12. I was the opposite. I mostly ate healthy foods. I love veggies, usually ate those first, hardly ever in any type of sauce. Our meats are usually grilled and I prefer chicken or fish to red meat. I just always ate way too much and honestly had never felt truly full. Not even on Thanksgiving. That's why I loved my restriction.
  13. You know, one other thing he told me was really interesting. He said the pyloric (sp?) valve opens on a "timer", i.e. at regular intervals. However, the interval varies from one person to the next. It made me wonder if overweight people "cycle" more quickly than normal-sized people and if that keeps us from feeling full. Thoughts?
  14. I'm in for bragging rights!
  15. My motivation is my wedding gown. I now weigh what I did when I got married (30 years in July), but it still won't zip. Maybe that has to do with the 35 pounds worth of babies I delivered? Apparently stuff isn't in the same places ? Anyway, I'm close and would love to zip that sucker by July!
  16. Have you connected with a surgeon in your new state for continuing followup visits? The will see patients on whom they didn't operate. Also, look for support groups in your new area. They are usually open to everyone, no matter where you had surgery. Good luck!
  17. You're looking great. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!
  18. Please give the developer a chance to correct the problem. This site is super-supportive, both the website staff and the user community. We'd love to have you stay and share your inspirational story. I mean, you lost 210 pounds before you even had surgery. That's amazing. Congrats on you success thus far!
  19. I've finally joined in. This is my 3rd day at 14/10. (Baby steps) So far, so good.
  20. I started with just a tablespoon or so and worked up to 1/2 cup over time
  21. Oh, guess I'm part lesbian. I love my flannel shirts! ?
  22. OK, I'll bite. I'm old and not hip. What is lesbian flannel?
