You just figured out your weakness wine! No bueno, you can snack but make sure it's a healthy snack and when eating only eat within the 20 minutes or once you start to feel full stop eating and make sure to wait your 30 minutes before drinking.

Its been a journey since March 9th until now my weight loss has been slow and steady now I feel stronger, lighter, able to concentrate more on short goals. My workouts change every day so that helps me to stay focus. My current weight is 160 lbs from 245 lbs, now my size is a 10 from a 20. One thing that is my encouragement is that I bought a Fitbit to keep going and to motivate me every day you should see me talking it like it's a real person, lol.

Take small sips if you still get spasm, ask your surgeon for a swallow test, I have achalasia type lll, same symptoms my surgeon had to cut several muscles in my esophagus to relieve the spasms best of luck!

Haven't checked in for a bit - but wanted to update now that I'm 3 months post-op. (Surgery date 3/5/18)
This week was monumental in that I am now in Onederland! I hit the milestone over the weekend and currently weigh 198! As a mid-point reward, I treated myself to a massage and facial!
To know that I will never be over 200 pounds again feels incredible! For me, the eating/working out is no longer a chore or a task - it just "IS" what I do - every day. Three meals a day only - focusing on Protein and vegetables. No drinking 10 minutes before, during, or 30 minutes after - at LEAST 64 ounces of Water per day (and one cup of coffee in the morning) - and walking/core workouts almost every day.
I'm now in a size 12 - from a size 20! Shopping is so much fun. I used to loathe the dressing room - but now I have to try on clothes because styles that used to work for me don't work on my new form. Things i would never consider trying on (like pencil skirts with shirts tucked in) now look amazing! But each store's sizes are a bit different so what may fit as a 12 in one store may be a 14 or 10 in another.
Here's a before and after photo from a week ago. This was before I hit Onederland and shows a 60 pound weight loss - 261 on the right, 201 on the left. Thanks for letting me share my journey here...

Awesome!! I’m in my 7th week post op- went back to work last week- it’s been a real struggle to get my Fluid in also!! Very weak today! I feel good but not ya know? I take sub lingual B 12 and don’t see much difference. Oh well, hopefully this too will pass!

Congrats! And I’m going to have to try crunching my Vitamins. I feel like I’m losing some of the potency when I crush them since it leaves so much residue.

70 pounds is a HUGE DEAL! How can you not be positive about such a tremendous victory? I encourage you to create a ticker and track your loss - it's HIGHLY motivating as you can physically see yourself moving towards your goal. Watching both the loss and to go numbers change as well as your BMI reduction just reinforces moving towards a healthier, happier you!
Also, it's not just about the numbers on the scale - what non-surgical victories have you achieved? Smaller size? Walking upstairs without getting out of breath? You've already mentioned compliments, so your body is definitely changing and others are noticing.
Find that motivation from within. Follow you plan, know every day that you are fueling your body properly - you are moving more - and most importantly you are drinking your Water. And when you're ready, post some progress pictures. You lose inches faster than weight - so seeing before/after really helps.
I have very few full length shots of me as I avoided the camera, but here's one from about 6 months pre-surgery side by side with the one I posted yesterday.

Know better, vow to do better and keep working toward that goal. Just a few more days and your brave New world starts. You'll need to be strong now but even more so after. You are going to be given a tool, learn to use it wisely. And good luck to you![emoji14][emoji626][emoji13]

You must turn a deaf ear to the evil cookie 's siren call. It wants to entice you into heinous actions like eating the whole flipping box. Will it feel guilty? Nope for it has no conscience, the cookie bakers cooked it out. Will you feel guilty? You surely should, you know better, I know you do. Are you going to do it again? No for I believe, you are stronger than that. You are the grownup here not a cardboard box of Cookies. Slide not back into sin for it is a slippery slope, hard to return to where you were at.[emoji20]

The stuff that sings to me....gets re-homed. Just takes too much emotional energy to slip up and feel guilty. I'm tired of the food drama in my life. My food at home falls under two categories... 1. Healthy legal stuff. 2. Naughy stuff my husband likes that I find repugnant.
Not saying I don't eat treats once in a blue moon. I do. But I make a point not to bring it into the house, or only bring it into the house for a special occasion with a very limited quantity. Lots of steps that make me THINK about the choice.
Not saying I can't make that choice once in a while....but it's gonna be my idea and not the singing. LOL:) I want my food choices to be deliberate. (even the occasional splurge)
There is one legal-ish item that I struggle with a little. Yasso greek yogurt bars. God, how I love them. LOL. They come in a box of four. I usually get them when I take my mom grocery shopping. I take two home (one for me, one for hubby), and leave two at her house. They have a hell of a time singing to me....from her house:)

Yes, as you eat less it seems like taste and smell ramp up. I can smell really well now and strong flavors can be too much. The artificial sweeteners are super sweet, so I had to Water down my shakes too.
