If surgery is such an easy way why have I worn my self to such a frazzle trying to receive mine?.? I can't count the trips I've made to Columbus, 50 miles each way, since August 2015 and I may be 1 more skosh closer than last week. Relax and read some of the success stories on here. There are people who were just as scared as you and worse. You will often second guess yourself, a lot of us had doubts but if you committ yourself you will make it through. And a good thing is: you have all of us to cheer you on., you have sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and me, a grandma-ager in this worldwide Bariatric family. There is not a worry you can think up that one of us has not already had and overcome. When I joined I had and am still having some doozies and they have helped me with them all. Thank you Ace Blaque. I live in Ohio and have Medicare primary, Medicaid secondary. If Medicare doesn't pick up (there is a chance because they had already paid out to program #1 &I am in program#2-quite a backstory there!) it is good to know what my alternate options are. Thanks again! P.S,in Ohio Medicaid only requires a 3 month, not a 6, 9 ,or 12 month. Happy for that.

Hi Coachy I am always a medically curious individual so looked up N.A.S.H. on Wikipedia, quite an interesting article. One bright gleaning: NASH improves in 80% of cases with weight loss surgery and it usually resolves it. So do not abandon hope, the best may be yet to be! This is my hospital #2-- I got clear through first hospital's plan before they kicked me to the curb. At they very least I'll have to go through another psych eval, hope they will accept my prior completed different doctor assesments,i did cardio, pulmonary,psych, sleep lab, dietician and nutritional coaching. Signed a release of infomation form along with a 7 page application form and handed them in instead of trusting the mail or internet. We will see what happens next. Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center, Central Ohio, I live 14 miles from Ohio's Geographic Center, not only is it a Center of Excellence, it pioneered laparoscopic gastric bypass in that area. Seminar had probably had maybe 65 present. Mostly the Columbus area, but one person from West Virginia and one from Central Indiana. How do I know this? In an earlier portion of life I was a long distance phone operator so I can read area codes. Made myself known to the couple from West Virginia as I have friend and kinfolk there. Their names were Gary and Elinor , he normally goes to a doctor in Marietta Ohio, his local hospital refused to do him as he's over 65 (69) so he' d come North. Being able to slide into resturant booths instead of a table and chair, trying out furniture in a store and not having to ask for help getting back up, being allowed to sit on relatives furniture without them bringing in an old wood chair from the back porch, (yeah it really happened) being able to kneel and get back up at church without grabbing the pew in front, finding clothes in pretty colors instead of the ugly poorly cut ones I find in my local store's miniscule plus size department. Sometimes to fit the rest of me they gape at the neck. I have to wear a t-shirt underneath or expose the "girls" to the breeze. Find fitting slacks that don't ride up in the back and give me a wedgie. No longer buying Granny Panties and Industrial strength bras. Finding them in colors and prints instead of stark white. If I tried to get intimate with someone they'd laugh at my undies, and if by chance we got that far the size of my panties is so big when he tossed them they'd land over top of my lamp and obscure it. Of course the dark might be a good thing. Having my body not glow in the moonlight like an airport beacon. Being identified by my name instead of That fat woman with the red hair. Bring able to outrun a molester or at least able to raise my leg high enough,to kick him where it counts, the best I could do now is stomp on his toes. Rollar skate without banking myself into the side rail to slow down. Going to parades and being able to stand up and watch them. Maybe someday I can March in them again!
