  1. Try hot water like decaf tea. I could not drink cold water for a very long time for the same reason.
  2. It’s an amazing journey- you’ll love it. Congrats!
  3. Mine was and is uneventful - I think we hear other stories BC quite frankly it’s probably boring hear how great it’s going v seeking advice when things are going well. As for food— Matty is tight- things change which is great. I don’t crave foods anymore . Once you’ve established good eating habits things are great. Other than foamies once or twice in the early weeks - nothing to write home about. Have never thrown up etc You’ll be ok!
  4. I’m only 6 1/2 months out but like redhead_che I hover around 700 calories a day. Losing about 1-1/2 lbs a week. I guess it depends on how much you’re trying to lose I’m not hungry on protein dense 7-800 calories
  5. I went directly to liquids/ soft food (yogurt, pudding etc) from hospital. Maybe a week out was cleared to start trying anything else as tolerated Good luck!
  6. Softer meat helps or even canned chicken. I find ground turkey is best for me But yea it’s weird if you’re eating more dense meats or grilled chicken etc
  7. Yep! Stomach still gets crazy itchy now too. Early on incision itchy - cortisone cream helped!
  8. I told zero people other than my husband. I’m very grateful I didn’t- hear so much about the drama and opinions of others that quite frankly I don’t need or care for. I’m sure folks wonder but I’ve gone with new eating and exercise lifestyle is reason for weight loss— which technically is true ?? You do you.
  9. Sticking to grilled chicken :) Your menu sounds great!
  10. I’m sorry that happened, I hope you’re feeling better soon.
  11. I’m with you Creek.... likely end of Summer here too. I’m about 10-15 from goal though depending on what I decide my goal to be
  12. Feel better soon! Glad you’re admitted and being taken care of. It does get better once this gets worked out- hang in there
  13. Congrats! We need a pic of tattoo !
  14. Walk a lot - gas pain is brutal. Peppermint decaf tea and massaging stomach and back helps too. For me cold water hurt my chest so the tea helps there too Feel better!
  15. Pls be careful with the gym weights. Most are told no weights for at least 6 weeks or longer.
  16. Shakes helped the hunger feeling. And peppermint decaf tea Hang in there :)
  17. Hang in there and WALK! Sounds like gas pain. Mine went away day 4 or 5
  18. I was in the same boat.... eat about 4 oz of protein at a time (can be up to 1 c volume) . This seems much different than others who eat less— we are all different. Early on Is get chest pains but those when away... My tell now is hiccups. Although if I eat too fast I do feel sick. I’m happy with my progress so I guess your body knows what’s right! 90 lbs in a bit over 6 months ain’t too shabby so I’ll take it ??
  19. The tapeworms ?
  20. My favorite lol Immediately switching to this one ?
  21. Kind of an epiphany one for me
  22. Try hot decaf tea… Comes in a zillion flavors. I could not drink water cold for the longest time except for shakesFor the same reason
  23. I’m at 90 lbs (woot!).... just over 6 months
