    Rant/FOMO

I had to have a heart to heart with myself..."I need to save these for later!" Wait...you will NEVER need these again! I despise shopping, so I tend to hold on to old clothes. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. They could, but with sych a low BMI, you may not even lose that much with sleeve. I've heard your stomach WILL get roomier over time, so I would let the surgeon do what they do best! Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    I wish I never had this done...help!

There ARE people here that had this same thing happen. Ultimately, they had regular bypass done, and feel 100% better! Look up in the search bar "wish I never had" and see if it pops up. I will try to find the link too so you can message her! She was SO discouraged, but things really turned around for her! Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Exhaustion

My nutritionist said this was pretty normal, especially for me -who drank 5-6 cups of coffee a day pre-surgery!! It affected my blood sugar levels. She said people who ate a lot of sugar before sometimes get almost hyper-glycemic after surgery. She said a bit if water and juice should help. Of course, I bought orange juice and sipped it all day and it really helped! Nothing works like coffee though![emoji6] Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post op diet help

I also had that kind of diet, all liquids for 4 weeks. It was hard but honestly I think it set me up for better success. I followed my doctors advice religiously. I see a LOT of posts on here where people play games with the doctors advice, and do what they want. Time will tell if they succeed. I don't EVER want to do surgery agai, in my mind it is "all or nothing" I used that liquid phase to work on my mental relationship with food, and all my mind sets. As far as cleaning goes, you can shower when the stitches have disolved. I only had one stitch, and the other spots were "superglued". Good luck kiddo!! Stuck

From what I know, supplements are a very important part of surgery. Whats your doctor and nutritionists opinion on this? Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bariatric surgery and restaurants

I just went out for my husbands birthday and followed the suggestion of appetizers for a meal. I did this all the time at Friendly's with their chicken quesadillas before surgery anyway. This time I ordered bwef tips! It worked out perfectly, or at least it would have if I had not got on the side salad to go with it. I knew there was no way I could finish it, but I wanted my mail to look balanced! A few days later I went out with my friend for dinner, and ordered fish and chips. I didn't eat ANY of the fries but brought them home for the kids. I was able to eat probably about 2 oz of fish, and just told her I made the mistake of eating later in the afternoon. I may have looked a little odd picking off the breading from my fish but honestly I didn't care. I usually do that anyway! Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Keeping Surgery Secret

I told my husband and older kids, my sister, and my Mom (who in turn told my step father, but so far, so good!) And one close friend. If someone messaged me begging to know (like I did to my cousin!) I would share it. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
