  1. I had sleeve and had no gas pain, no pain walking, etc. The worst pain was the shots I had to do for 10 days to prevent blood clots! As soon as I was home after 2 days in the hospital I stopped all pain meds as I didn't really need them and I found them binding and contributing to my constipation. I still have no pain, nada, nothing, almost like the surgery wasn't done. I guess I am one of the lucky ones.
  2. Oh my goodness! Feel better. I hope things are turned around now and keep going that way.
  3. I wear compression capri leggings to keep my stomach from jiggling. Lane Bryant sells them. I am sure other stores also sell that kind of pant. It makes a HUGE difference when I am working out and then I just have to concentrate on not passing gas instead of my belly jiggle!
  4. I only felt restricted for about a month. Now I do not have that feeling anymore. I was sleeved on 3/16/18. I have had absolutely no complications and at times wonder if I really had the surgery as nothing bothers my sleeve and I mean nothing.
  5. I have seen people post about the Squatty Potty here and wanted to share that Aldi has a knock off version for $9.99 in store right now. Just wanted to share.
  6. Oh yes, I did eat them and it was wonderful. I had no issues, just make sure to chew.
  7. You can take a ride and eat breakfast every day for a very long time!
  8. I can't imagine he won't be. I go back for my 6 month on 9/18. I have been averaging a loss of about 11 lbs a month. I was told at the 3 month mark that was right on track. I am anxious to go back as I had some strange blood levels the last time so I have to repeat all the tests again for the 6 month visit.
  9. And you are rocking it girl!
  10. Way to go! That is amazing.
  11. OMG you look stunning! I can also see a new confidence about you in the second set of pictures. You should be so proud! Way to go!!!
  12. A while back someone posted a chart that gave concrete items to equate to how much weight we have lost. I tried to search, but am missing it. Can someone point me to it? 13. I have done lasers at the dermatologist's office (stronger lasers) and have been doing my lip, chin and jaw line. I have been going for almost a year and am still fighting hair growth. I was told my hair follicles are very deep so it will take longer. I am also an ideal candidate - fair skin, very dark hair. Oh, lasers do not work on hair that has already turned white. Those babies I will be plucking forever.
  14. Looks like fun! So exciting that you were able to do something you love again.
  15. Totally not WL related rant coming. So what is with all these mosquito bites I am now getting? *scratch**scratch* I usually can skate through a summer with only a few and Saturday night I was outside for a few hours WITH bug spray on and those darn bugs ate my feet like I was throwing a party just for them! Seriously, *scratch**scratch* I can barely even wear shoes as I had flip flops on and the only part of my feet that are unscathed are the bottoms.*scratch**scratch* UGH!! *scratch**scratch* Those nasty little blood suckers must think I am tasty now that I have lost weight. *scratch* *scratch*
  16. I started with elliptical due to having a tricky knee which has bone on bone. Soon afterwards I hired a personal trainer and see him twice a week. They push me pretty hard these days. Some things I can do, others I am striving to do. My only complaint is now that I am so gassy, sometimes when I work out things just slip out, especially when I am doing core work.
  17. Absolutely stunning. Congrats!
  18. My weight loss has been slow - only 51 lbs since surgery, but 89 lbs overall. I just entered the 2-teens (219) and am so excited that onederland isn't too far away. I wish I had done this surgery sooner in my life!

I can't speak for others, but I chose my surgery based on the least invasive. Having had cancer 6 years ago, I am leery of doing too much to my body but wanted to have the surgery done. I hope that makes sense? So far so good as I have lost quite a bit of weight already, but I have more to go to get to a healthy BMI. The part that I do know, is I CAN get there. I have had the surgery and I work with a psychologist that is helping me emotionally and that balance has been tremendous. The tool is only as good as what we put into it.
  20. My husband recently told me that he is starting to find me attractive again. I am almost to the weight I was when we married (11 lbs to go). I am sure there are other factors in here, but this is the one that I chose to hear during the conversation. Let's just say physical intimacy was down to nothing the past few years...
  21. I weigh daily - every morning after a bathroom stop (TMI). I have been consistent. I am starting to relax about stalls and minor fluctuation, Last week was tough, as I was on vacation, and our vacation house didn't have a scale. I was worried all week!
  22. I had help from my hubby for about a week. The main thing I needed assistance with was the blood thinner shots I had to be on for 10 days. I could have done them myself, but I preferred to have someone else do it.
  23. Is it bad for me to say I wish I had a negative reinforcement that would keep me in check?
  24. I have been stuck the last couple of weeks myself but my inches have been dropping. I am around 4 months. It is pretty normal and it shall pass.
  25. My husband is the same and hasn't seem willing to change his habits.
