    6 week stall

Thank you for the encouraging words. I have an elliptical and did that for 20 minutes tonight. I will do some yoga tomorrow. I love the yoga for stretching and reducing the stress. But I will do it. I need to get back on track or even on a track.

    6 week stall

I seem to be stalled as well. The discouragement is tremendous. It makes it difficult to stick to a diet. I don't eat much of course but picking only healthy foods is not as easy. Eat healthy for 2 weeks and no loss. Cheat occassionaly and no weight gain. I lose a pound a week. I just thought I would lose more. It is raining a lot and I can't get out as much as I want. I am trying to motivate myself but it is difficult.
  3. I can't help it. I do feel guilty about everything I put into my mouth. I was sleeved on 12/19 and have lost 23 lbs. But the last 2 weeks have been only 2lbs a week. Dr is good with it but I am not. I would have thought with as little as I eat the weight loss would be more. I drink water and manage 60 to 70 grams of protein. I am trying.not to think this way but I can't seem to help it. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Feeling guilty about eating

Thanks for the support. I eat healthy. I eat Greek yogurt no fat kind, protein shakes and chicken. I don't have control over portions as the sleeve really limits the amount. Its just that the weight isn't coming off so, I think I am doing something wrong. Then when I do eat it isn't a pleasant experience. I used to enjoy food. No more. Now it is only something I have to do and I don't really now how to feel about that. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Late December Sleevers?

You should try chicken. I cook chicken breast in olive oil with salt and pepper. It is dense and will fill you up quickly. Munch on that a few times a day and you should be good. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Late December Sleevers?

I'm glad that I am not the only one. Worse food I starting to have no appeal for me. Don't get me wrong, I am hungry but the thought of trying to eat so little to avoid the pain of being full has taken it's toll. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I have mostly said nothing. It isn't anyone's business. Most think it is a quick fix, a cheat. Well anyone who has done it knows it isn't. Still I feel judged. The people I have told, less than 5, are very supportive. However, if asked a direct question, I will tell the truth. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Got Bad News

Wow quite a turn here. I did not gain weight but I didn't lose enough for the nurses. The Dr said it was fine but no the nurses weren't happy. So I had to lose 5 lbs in one week or surgery wouldn't be approved. Huh, I had lost 30 lbs overall. It was very frustrating. If ANYONE in that office had called me any names I would have reported it immediately. Also they weren't in a position to call anyone anything. Town of them had bypasses and clearly need to lose a lot more and their surgeries were years ago. Nope I didn't care for the nurses but the surgeon was great. 9. I looked up regret the first week after surgery. Now I am 6 weeks out and my body is holding onto every ounce for dear life. Can't seem to catch a break so I just stopped getting on the scale. My 15 lb dog eats more than I do. So I have no choice but to wait. I am very happy for those that have lost 40 something pounds in 6 weeks but that isn't going to be my story. So we all have been there. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Late December Sleevers?

Not exactly at a standstill but not.as fast as I like. Guess I need to take a longer view. The reason I am not losing isn't because I eat too much that's for sure. I know I am being healthy and active so I will just stay away from the scale. It isn't my friend at the moment. So why put myself through it. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Disappointed In Myself

You really can't waste time beating yourself up. Make the changes you need to make and move on. Use some of that energy and take a walk. So what if you only go for 5 minutes - that is 5 minutes more than yesterday. This stuff isn't easy. A lifetime of habits to break - can't be done overnight. Imagine an alcoholic that has to quit being an alcoholic and still drink. We have to eat. You have the tools and you can make it. Congratulations on your 82lb loss.
  14. No pain from surgery at all. Zero, zip, nada. Go slow on the food and you will be good to go. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Can't believe it but you need more calories. I can remember that hunger. It was all consuming. I am one month post op and I still get hungry but nowhere near the all consuming feeling I used to have. What used to help was a protein shake when it got that bad. High carb ? Low carb?

Not judging at all but my nutritionist told me no hot dogs, no sausage and watch the cheese. Also told me to fill up on veggies. But I am seeing throughout the variety of food in so many people's diets? They even told me to watch the number of carbs in fruit and vegetables. So no snap peas and only 1/2 a banana a day. I am only a month into this and can't really eat meat protein without vomiting. It is too dense. So I am curious how you are doing eating the above diet. I love turkey sausage and would kill to be able to eat one without the guilt. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Ugh.. extra skin

Well I once lost over 100 lbs when I was 45. Didn't keep it off which brought me to surgery. However, at that time I didn't have any loose skin. I am hoping for similar results now that I am 57. Not sure though because it was easier to maintain muscle then. Now it is much harder. I am 55 lbs down and have nothing to report. Maybe in a few months. Have quite wrapped my head around the excess skin possibility. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Indian Food

I can't believe you were able to get 3/4 cup down. You are lucky. If I eat more than 2 tablespoons I throw up. But the Indian food sounds so yummy. I had some sauce from lasagna and it didn't stay down tonight. I am a month out from surgery. Should have stuck to yogurt. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    6 months 101 lbs down w/pics

Actually I do think it matters. I was told that after a certain time your body does a reset and that is your new normal. But I shouldn't complain. I am at 227 and if in 6 months I am down another 50 pounds all will be good. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Wow, congratulations. At the rate I am going I will be lucky to lose half that much in 6 months. But at least it will be less and not weight gain. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
