I'm day two after surgery. I'm in a bit more discomfort then I was at the hospital. Probably because I don't have all the "Good Stuff" they were medicating me with to help. I can walk around well. My issue is having really bad gas pains. It hurts even if I take the tiniest of sips. Which makes it hard to get my intake in, but I'm doing it because even though it is painful, I know dehydration would be worse. They were giving me a chewable gas medication at the hospital but didn't prescribe any or write any down on my discharge sheet. I'm thinking of getting some Gas X as I have read others found this to be helpful. I can pass gas, burp, but have not passed a bowel movement yet. I'm assuming because I've been on liquids since Tuesday. I do not feel like I need to, and I keep trying because I feel like having a movement would help with some of this built up gas. I was also concerned because my left side shoulder is painful, but they said it was okay as long as it didn't get worse. I just need to keep reminding myself that this will pass and to keep at it. It's not been too fun so far. But have to keep remembering why I did it and hopefully this stuff goes away.

I don't believe in gender. People are people. Women are just as nuts/mean/wonderful/loving/brilliant/dumb/contrary/dishonest/stable/amazing.....as men are. It's all individual. If you look for stereotypes, you'll find stereotypes. Look at individuals, and look deeply at yourself as an individual. No one is responsible for our happiness but ourselves. People who can be happy and find meaning and value in their lives...all on their own....are very, very attractive:)
Religion feels like a placebo pill to me. It works for some people...I'm not one of 'em. LOL. I think I'm too analytical. I can't figure out why God would want to kill his kid to get over his own issues with our behavior. How did that help, exactly? Particularly when his kid was immortal the whole time and was really just a part of himself....so he was sort of sacrificing himself...to himself...to get over his disappointment in standards people couldn't live up to.....while never really being in danger of not existing. I'm not a theologian...but that doesn't ring of any truth or logic to me. (I find the theologies of all the other major world religions just as baffling and bizarre.) But, hey, if it works for you....that's awesome. To each, their own:)
What makes my life kinda work (most of the time...lol)....
My nutty, boring, amazing, long-suffering husband...lol, my SmartyPants kiddo, my extremely foolish dog, my adorable faithful best friend who i've known since I was six, my batschit crazy mom, my coven of cats, a bunch of plants, good neighbors, lots of good books and movies, playing bad guitar, laughing a lot... loud and hard, long discussions with people who love ideas, a cup of ginger lemon tea, wellbutrinXL LOL, talking to strangers in waiting rooms and grocery lines, sculpting, french kisses in darkened doorways, painting, writing annoying posts on message boards, and reclaiming my health for more crazy adventures:)
Life is what YOU make it. Pick a good one:) And very best wishes to all on finding the happiness they deserve.

They will perform a sleeve if bypass is physically not possible due to your unique circumstances. If a consent is not signed beforehand they would have to close you up with no bypass or sleeve. A consent tries to cover every worst case scenario that may be known, barring any emergency of course.
My surgery was moved forward five days. I was warned I may have to have sleeve depending on how my liver was because my liquid diet phase was shortened but everything was ok. It’s a hope for the best but prepare for the worst situation in a way.
Either surgery was preferable to neither at my weight.

That's why I got happy when I saw your post, because we have the same date and u sound miserable like me lol. Those sharp chest pains are no joke though, the smallest sip hurt for me. Here's my email and my IG to keep each other updated! Katb760@gmail.com and IG kat__me0w spelled with a zero

I am having these same issues with drinking. I am a Day after ya’ll though, 1/11. Home already but only got in 20oz today, I did have IV fluids this morning in the hospital before I was released. Hoping drinking will be easier tomorrow. Please keep posting how it goes for you, it helps to know that others are going through the same so I don’t panic.

    Hi All,
I was sleeved on the 15th Nov 2017 and I’ve lost 22lbs so far which is great. Because I’m short the weightloss looks much more than it is (what a relief) BUT I’m finding that I’ve become shy and a bit uncomfortable about my weight loss. Everyone at work has been commenting and complementing me (I didn’t tell anyone that I got sleeved) to a point where it’s making me uncomfortable. On Tuesday I wore a dress which I wore way back when I was lighter and no one has seen the dress, new job, and everyone was making a fuss. It got to a point where I just sat at my desk for the rest of the day until I went home. The next day I went back to wearing my fat clothes to camouflage my weightloss.
I know that this is strange but has anyone gone through the same thing?

    Hey!

Not sure why I waited this long to look into a support system online, but glad I came to my senses and signed up! I have my surgery tomorrow AM. I think it's finally hit me that it's happening. I'm feeling every emotion right now. I guess that is a good thing, right? I understand the commitment and life-altering changes but committed to doing so because I have the power to make these new memories and changes be for the positive.
Took me about a year to go through the process (tests, labs, evals, etc.). They only made me start a liquid diet today (day before surgery). I move to Clear Liquids by 12 am and my surgery is slated for 7:30 am.

    AH! haha.. so excited/nervous/anxious/scared/etc.
