I was going to agree with you but you seem to be just as rude as some others in this forum. Why are you asking someone if they have been to the gym today? Are you trying to make her feel bad for not going to the gym? That’s pretty low. We are all here for a reason. We are or were severely over weight. No need to belittle someone and tell them they need to be more productive.

That's a tough place to be in, especially since you value her, because you'll need to fully engage in discussion and get your point across even if it's unpleasant for you, her, or both of you. What else can you do? This means a lot to you and you deserve to have an effective tool to battle obesity. I wish success. Don't lose hope.

I wanted to share this with my April/May Sleevers!! I’m hoping I can find them in my local Sam’s Club since they are so new! Definitely something to consider on our liquid diets. Some new flavors and variety could be a good thing! I like options lol. As soon as I get a box I will do a review on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoDS8UYKi9Wu1__0j9qJ8rA I already have my favorites so it would be nice to add more to the list #GoGetYouSome

Hi. Be kind to yourself. Afterall, it sounds like you wouldn't have chosen surgery had you known this outcome. You have a lot of responsibilities and you don't have the physical resources right now to meet them. That's very stressful. Although my post-surgery experience has been different from yours, I struggled for years (and still do) with a chronic health issue that made work, parenting, and family life impossible. I felt a lot of anxiety, depression, and thought I'd have a nervous breakdown. You are doing all you can to get through minute by minute. Gradually, that will become getting through each half hour, then hour, morning, afternoon, day, week, etc until the worst parts of this are behind you.
In terms of nutrients, BariatricPal sells Multi-Vitamin Patches. They may help you fill in what are missing through food.
I wish I had suggestions that would erase some of your struggles. Wishing you better health in the days ahead.

I had a stall at 3 weeks too. My weight loss has been mostly slow and steady; although there was one week where I lost 9 lbs. I have been hoping that will happen again.
What you are experiencing is normal. It’s easy to become frustrated and disappointed. I’ve been there too. As you follow the plan you’ll lose weight again and you may stall again. It’s all part of the process.
You’ll be okay. You will get past this stall and you’ll lose weight. Hang in there. This too shall pass. 🦋

I know...I know....we've all been there. And it's important to be patient with newer folks and to be empathetic to their frustration.
I'm so wrong for this....but I just want to smack the **** out of them. Which would not be helpful.
I'm sort of re-evaluating the value of habitually reading this board.
It's all starting to loop around and around in this anxious cycle of angsty mental health issue driven repetitive slurry.
I'm starting to identify these stereotypes of posters that repeat over and over....
The Bird....I will not eat over 500 calories because calories are bad.
The Protein Addict....Must never eat carbs again or the world will explode.
The Why Me Whiner....Where's my yellow brick road, Dr. Nowzaradin?
The Documentarian.... Ate one and three quarters blueberries this morning for a total of 4.37687calories.
The Rebel without a Clue.....I ate a whole pizza yesterday just to see if I could cram one in there. I could! I want my money back!
The Pain in the Ass angsty Know It All.....who writes offensive insensitive rants like this one.
The Research Junkie.....sort of like the pain in the ass angsty know it all...but with more links.
The Fat Shamer.....let me endlessly describe how much I hated my fat, and by extension how offputting I find other fat people
The Size Queen.....Can I slip my new pants size into casual conversation?
The Oblivious Question Asker.....Um, I'm two weeks out, can I have chicken McNuggets and a large coke and fries yet?
The Lonely Soul.....Hi, We should be besties. I'm going to write 9/10 posts about how cool I think you are.
The Stuck Veteran....I lost weight ages ago and kept it off, but I still obsess about weight loss daily.
The Message Board Christian.....Lets slip Christ in there, just for the hell of it. Pray for me!
Maybe I just have a shitty attitude today. I'm bored. I'm tired of thinking about weight.
I'm glad I had surgery. A few bumps in the road, but I'm doing really well all things considered. I'm committed to following through.
But I'm so freaking tired of thinking about this.....and having it consume so much of my life.
And equally scared of not being vigilant.
    Just kinda....ornery. Sorry.

This is great news for me because I've noticed my nose getting puffier as I got heavier. I secretly hoped that it would be less puffy as I lose weight. Good info.

@Apple203 You are doing amazing on your machine. That's great. Tornado sound - perfect way to describe it. [emoji946] I'm glad you're feeling more rested too. I am set up to use ramp tonight. The employee at American Home was very nice, thorough, and seemed to have heard similar comments from other patients. Thanks again for bringing up the idea of checking for ramp. It just may be what I need.

Hi Miami. I haven't had a sleeve revision but my weight loss was slow and frustrating after vsg surgery on 12/28/17. After surgery, I lost 7 lbs, 2nd week - o, 3rd week - +1 lb. (really! lol), and then 9 lbs. 9lbs. In 1 week! I weigh every Monday.

You will have more weight loss coming. It's just going to happen when it chooses to. Stick to your path to health and you'll eventually reach your goal. It will all be more than ok. [emoji471]

I'll post a "before & during" pic since I'm four months post-op today and have about 50 lbs. left to hit my initial goal. Before picture is from January 2017, the during is from a week ago. First time I had put on decent clothes in a while, I had to run to J.C. Penney to pick up a cheap pair of slacks and dress shirt since I plan on dropping a few more sizes.

Hi. It has taken a while. I had the duodenal switch in 2007. I started at 400 pounds. Got down to 265 and was stuck for years. 2015 I discovered my fitness pal and Bariatric Pal. I’m at 166 and still losing. My goal is 145 for a normal BMI. I am 5’4”

Hi all, quick update, I am close to my 10th month post-op.

    I was VSG’d 03/10/17, HW: 405, SW: 385, CW: 230. My goal weight is 190..
I have been struggling with the last 40 lbs, it seems to be attached to my body LOL.. I am very thankful to this process; it is definitely a great tool. However, it is 50/50 we need to engage the other 50% and battle every day with our old bad habits. I hit stalls 3 times, and they last for weeks.. I don’t even look at the scale, now is my enemy (LOL) , instead I rely on clothing and noticed I am losing size… I increased my workouts the last 4 months, I hope I can meet my goal by March 1st, sharing this few photos for now… Will post more in March and I hope I can see a difference. You always friend Carlos….

    TooManyTacos,
Everything I am sharing I learned from attending several bariatric seminars when I was researching which group I wanted to use. The photos I share are from my binder, info given to me by my surgeon and/or nutritionist (who I continue to see monthly) The statistics on average monthly weight loss are readily available from many sources online. (and were also provided by my group)
Ultimately, I went with a surgeon in the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative...which is a group of 38 hospitals in Michigan that are resource and data sharing to study and improve bariatric surgery outcomes. I am participating in their study. The dietary protocol was developed by University of Michigan, a leading global medical research University in Ann Arbor. (Trivia Bonus....my kid studies Microbiology there)
http://michiganbsc.org/program-leads/ Here are some bios on the people who run the collaborative. Some really sharp medical research Cookies.
What's unique and cool about the collaborative...is that they are also working with insurance companies to optimize outcomes, and provide statistical data that helps the insurance company to better understand what they gain by allowing patients to utilize WLS. it's a win-win for everyone. Patients get better care. Doctors can learn from each other. New empirical data can be analyzed so protocol can be improved. And people like me....get followed for ten years to study longterm outcomes.

With my surgery date quickly approaching, the people who do know are critics or super supportive. I live with my best friend. When it was an idea she was on board. Now that I have my date, it’s like she would rather talk about anything else. Because of the negative energy I get from her I have been trying to find good vibes from any place I can and cautiously branching out, as I don’t want my business out there. I found a woman at work who has been my Guardian angel! She had the surgery 12 years ago and couldn’t be more happy for me. I’m slowing building a support system.
