As you eat push your food to the outside of the plate, leaving a good sized empty spot in the middle of the plate (not exact center). They will see the large empty spot and think you ate a lot more than you did.

Did you lose a good amount of weight before surgery. If so my guess is you hit the 3 week stall right after surgery. There Is no way the body can sustain you on 600 calories long term without hitting the fat. Just hang in there the weight loss will come. You aren't giving your body any other option. It's just kicking up a fuss about it.

    Hello there!
You are about to have surgery and it's scaring you to death? You are thinking you made a mistake? Yes, that is normal. You will be okay. There are many threads about that. Have a look.
You just had your surgery and you feel like crap? It's hard to swallow and you ache all over? You wish you had not done this? Yes, that is normal. You will be okay. There are many threads about that. Have a look.
You're recovering from surgery, but the restricted diet is driving you up a wall? You'd like some assurances that there are things you can eat that won't make you bored senseless and/or nauseous, and if not, comforting words that this will pass and the next stages are better? Yes, that is normal. You will be okay. There are many threads about that. Have a look.
It's been a few weeks since surgery and you're worried you're not losing as much weight as other people? Yes, that is normal. You will be okay. There are many threads about that. Have a look.
It's been two or three weeks since your surgery and you seem to have stopped losing weight entirely? You maybe even gained a few pounds? Yes, that is normal. You will be okay. There are many threads about that. Have a look.

It is totally cool to ask about all of these things! It's totally cool to worry and want some nice people to give you advice and tell you that you are not alone. Post anything you would like. But you can also take a few minutes and read some of the earlier posts. You should totally do that, too, as a) it will give you more answers to the thing that is bothering/scaring you more quickly and b ) it will help you see that you're not alone and there are nice people here who have had the same or similar problems and they turned out okay. Also, by posting your worries in the pre-existing threads, you will make the top of the forum less scary to other new people, as there won't be a half dozen posts on the same problem, just a few longer ones with lots of support and answers already in place.
The forum didn't open this morning! Don't discount how much you can learn by reading what's already here. You are going to be okay. Settle in and read stuff. It will help, I promise.

I had the same pain and got an abdominal binder and it worked like a charm. I’m a month post op and no longer need it....plus it’s way too big now for me to use!

Hi, My surgery is January 8th and I'm currently on a low carb, low fat, preop diet. Plus I'll need to do one day clear liquid on day before surgery. If I lose more than a few more pounds my BMI will fall below 40. Will they disqualify me if my BMI falls below 40 right before surgery? Any suggestions on shrinking liver without losing anymore weight?

Your not alone! I had my sleeve on the 10th and I'm still walking around hunched and holding my scar where the Dr pulled out my stomach, I still have a hard time getting out of bed. Along with horrible rib pain.

Have either of you tried an abdominal binder? This would support your stomach while walking and possibly lessen the pain.

It's the abdominal muscles trying to repair themselves. Muscle pain lasts a while but it will get better a little bit each day. I still had intense pain for about 2.5 weeks then one day nothing at all! Then I sneezed and was brought back to reality. But eventually no more pain.

went from 266 to 176. My op day was March 30,2017. I was sooo excited. I am so happy and grateful. I think about my stomach everyday lol and definitely watch what i eat to prevent the full feeling because i hate feeling like a balloon that’s about to pop. ew.
Losing weight made me gain soooo much confidence like 100% more than anything i had.
I look good and feel better. i just wish the person that i did the surgery with didn’t switch up on me and change her attitude. we were friends for almost 8 yrs and she decided to drop our friendship for her new relationship. and it’s sad 😞 i would’ve never expected that from her of all people.
life goes on and i’m trying to move on but the best friend i had could never be replaced. that person and personality could never be replaced.

    Hi Guys,
So today marks my 5th day having the surgery!
I was really scared going into the hospital at 5:00AM chanting to myself “I can do this” over and over.
It all started great they took a urine sample and told me to change into a hospital gown, everything after that went by really fast I was in the operating room by 7:00AM.
I remember waking up in the recovery room in pain. But I expected that and soon after they gave me pain meds I was fine.
I stayed in the hospital over night and the next day I was allowed to go home with a full bag of medications.
Today, I can eat 3 purée meals a day ya me! Also my life consists of taking small sips of Water ever minute.
I still have sharp pains near my incision wounds every time I move, and it’s really hard for me to bend down to pick up something off the floor But, i’m getting through it everyday it gets easier.
    Hope this helps!
    AJ
