I’m 5 weeks out and I wish I could eat this much perhaps if I could my weight would come off faster. I eat 6 small “meals” a day. I’m trying but most of the time I’m either starving or not hungry at all. I see my nut next week, I’ll pump her for answers.

I had the same pain and got an abdominal binder and it worked like a charm. I’m a month post op and no longer need it....plus it’s way too big now for me to use!

Yes I agree but it’s so hard to comprehend that I’ve had major surgery and this is the initial result. Honestly speaking I have a bit of buyer’s remorse because I’m afraid I’ll be “that person” who only loses 20lbs. from surgery after 16 months. It’s hard and I know it’ll happen but to see people who had surgery after I did and they’re already down 20lbs and I’m struggling to hit 20lbs and I’m following my diet to a T, it’s crazy. Just taking this day by day, doing research and believing in the process.

Wow it’s great to hear that I’m not the only one having the same issues. I was sleeved 12/18 and initially lost 12lbs. Then I gained 2lbs and stalled until last week when I saw my nutritionist. I’m in purée phase and she gave me the ok to eat fruits and veggies of course puréed. It seems like when I did the increase in fiber and calories broke my stall and I lost 5lbs. in 3 days. Now I’m 4 days from a month and have only lost 16lbs. as of today. I feel defeated at times because I lost 50lbs in my 6 month pre-op but hopefully this will change.

Just an update...I lost 50lbs prior to my surgery on 12/18/17. I’ve lost an additional 10bs since surgery. This has been an amazing journey.

No she is not. She has her own practice however she does her surgery at NYU Langone.

I ended up being sleeved by her, she’s an excellent surgeon!!!!

Hang in there I promise it will get better! My surgery was 12/18/17 and although I didn’t regret it immediately I did have some regrets this week because I haven’t lost a pound in a week. Saw my Nut today and she explained a lot of things that made sense and has put me at ease. Trust in the process...I know I am and although I haven’t seen much weight loss post-op I have already lost 50lbs. pre-op and can see my feet again!

I have Empire BCBS NY and was told I'd be approved if I didn't gain any more weight than my first weigh in. She also wanted me to lose 30lbs prior to surgery last weigh in I was down 14lbs.

I'm still doing the 6 months requirement for BCBS, if everything goes the way it should surgery should be in December.

I have a nipple piercing and this never occurred to me until this moment. Damn it's been 15 years since I got it and I have never taken it out. I do clean it daily when I shower. Damn I may just leave it out afterwards.

I'm so happy!!!! I went for my second visit and have lost 14lbs. Two visits down...4 more to go! It's been hard eliminating my beloved carbs but I've been so disciplined this last month. I feel as if I have turned a new leaf. I just need to maintain the momentum and motivation.
