My surgery coordinator called me a few minutes ago and the had a cancellation so they moved me to NEXT MONDAY!!! 01/08/18!!!!
I don’t have my Vitamins and today I was supposed to start my low carbs today and liquid was next Thursday...now what?????

I have the same reason... I want to be able to do activities with them and be healthy for them!!!
Am doing this for my little ones (5 and 3 years old).

This is my list:
Heating Pad, Ear plugs, Eye shades, Ear buds, Tablet (or iPad), Charger, Phone, Chapstick, Robe, Slippers, PJs, Walking shoes, Medications, Healthcare POA, Extension cord, My Pillow, Gas-X strips, sugar free mints, Lotion, Mouthwash or spray and a water bottle for the trip home.

hi everyone!! just joined and my surgery date is February 8th. I started my pre-op diet today (not full liquids, I get one meal) because my doctor requires it for patients with a BMI over 50. I'm really excited, anxious, nervous, and all those emotions all bundled into one! But most of all I'm READY!!

It's natural to be afraid, especially if you have never had surgery before but the risks are far less than obesity overtime. As for the Anesthesia, my husband is actually an Anesthesia Tech and in the last 11 years he's been doing his job they have never had an anesthesia related death at his hospital, it's not a common place thing to happen.

Thanks God today I had my echocardiogram in the morning, at 3 pm the doctor called me and said everything is okay!!!
And in the afternoon I got the letter from my insurance saying that THEY APPROVED MY SURGERY!!!!!

I'm having surgery February 12. Getting really excited and nervous.

I am due to have mine this month and have had the same thoughts as you! A fact I keep telling myself which helped was that this surgery has less risks than a c-section, and loads of women around the world get that done! We're going to be fine xx

So I'm curious; I've read alot of stories here and have to say this site has helped me so much! but I would love to know, does anyone regret having a bypass/sleeve? If so, why? Im due surgery on Jan 12th. I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks!!

I'M 1 MONTH AWAY FROM MY SURGERY!! IVE NEVER HAD ANY TYPE OF SURGERY! BUT ITS WELL NEEDED. IM A CHRISTIAN AND IM TRULY STEPPING OUT ON FAITH TO GET ME THRU THIS.

I didn't have a "binder" either. I don't really see the purpose. My incisions were very small. They pulled my stomach out through my navel and I didn't really even know I had an incision there until the FNP told me.

Hang in there girl! These difficult days will pass!!
