EKG problems....

I went today for the clearance appointment. I was happy because I only had to take the clearance letter and all done!

My surprise, the doctor sent me to the cardiologist because my EKG is different to the one they did to me on May 2017.

If I “have” a minor heart problem... can I have the surgery done?

Yes you can. I have a heart problem and I was sleeved on 11/27. Seeing a cardiologist and getting clearance from that provider is mainly for the anesthesiologist seeing as they are the ones monitoring you while you are under. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your able to get the surgery done but I don't see why you wouldn't be able too.

it's safest for you to have all the information on the table. Keeps everyone on your team aware and prepared for any issues that might be unique to you. More info is a good thing. It won't stop your surgery...it will make your surgery safer.

Heart working 100%!!! Now just waiting for surgery day!

Hi guys this is the only cardiac thread I found so,I'll post here for my peeps to read. I'm still collecting my requirements for RnY and went thru several cardiac tests. Visited my cardiologist Friday, only thing she found was a slightly enlarged Aortic root; since it was high normal she cleared me for bariatric surgery and I don't have to,see her for a year unless something, unforseen turns upon. Whewee what a relief. There is cardiac problems in my family tree but I seem to have dodged them. Everyone be happy for me I can see the Bariatric lightshows shining for me ahead.
