I checked with my surgeon and she agrees with you. Possible dehydration. I definitely couldn't consume enough fluids after surgery due to reflux. We'll see how it goes.

I had the same issue after my surgery last December. After about a month it eased its way back down. Im going through it again but i'm going to try my best to drink more Water. We'll be just fine.

It's sounds like you have a touch of orthostatic hypotension. The elevated heartbeat would be a natural compensatory response to your low blood pressure. Are you getting all your fluids? If you are and you're still experiencing light headedness with standing you may want to try getting some more. You may be dehydrated. Call your surgeon either way. Dizziness is cause for concern, and while it may turn out to be "nothing" it's better to run it by someone.

Increased heart rate is also known as tachycardia. I had issues with post-op tachycardia that began the day I after was sleeved.

I followed up with a cardiologist 9 days after surgery, but he wasn't that concerned. He insisted the rapid heart rate was my body's response to the stress of surgery. He started me on a beta blocker medication to slow the heart rate.

My heart rate returned to normal about 3 to 4 weeks after this episode started and I no longer need the prescribed medication. Sometimes our bodies respond to major surgery in wonky, unusual ways.

5'10" here. My HW was 301 in July 2016, SW was 271 on 12/30/16. I'm currently bouncing between 188 and 190. My surgeons goal is 170-175 with about 5 pounds of bounce back. I would love to get to 170 and maintain.
I'm currently in a size 10-12 and a medium top from a 22W and 2XL. I've also lost a shoe size.

Have you called your surgeon? They can address this with medication.

Incision site pain, drain site pain, shoulder pain, abdominal pain? May be gas, normal healing, overexertion ...
Figure out where it hurts most and that me give you clues to help when you speak to your doctor

Day 3 is the worst. Every day from here on out will hopefully get better. I was where you are now, and felt like it was a mistake. I’m in my third week postop now, and aside from the diet, I feel great. It gets better.

Also 3 days post o.p and still have shoulder pain from gas bubbles .but every day has gotten a little better.just making sure I take my gas drops every 4 hours and a muscle relaxer

Marina, I totally understand what your feeling. I am 5 days post op and am having significant pain, fullness(bloaty), and am also unable to really drink anything. I am hoping this subsides soon. dehydration is my main concern.

I'm scheduled for December 11 in Tijuana. The nutritionist has me on low carb/low calorie diet, and then I'll start a liquid diet 2 weeks before (really soon!). I'm nervous about the surgery and I've neem trying to prepare mentally. It feels like I'm breaking up with food!

Hello all, I'm 5'10" and currently weigh 295. I have high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, and I am pre-diabetic. My goal weight is 180 and I don't remember when I was in that range. A little intimidated by what I will look like at that size. But excited about how I will feel.

Wish this topic would be more active lol. I'm 5'11 and highest weight was about 266; on the verge of high blood pressure and high sugar levels, always tired, no energy. I've been overweight my entire life and every time I lose, I gain back. I've tried all diets, lifestyle modifications, gym, crossfit, diet pills...nothing. The most I lose is 20lbs and then it creeps back on. As much as I was against surgery, it was my last resort and I'm scheduled for 12/27/17. I'm ready for the ultimate lifestyle change of being healthy and genuinely happy. My main goal is to be in onederland! First small goal would be 215, then 185, and the ultimate goal would be 160!! I have not seen any of those numbers since elementary school.

December 14th, provided no bumps in the road. Nervous and excited. My weight has been a difficult journey for me, as I'm sure you all understand. Just can't wait to get through it all and be a healthier me!😁
