  1. I did bypass because I have a lot to lose... plus i didn't want Gerd. I'm 5 weeks post op and have lost 31lbs. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. What's your current eating look like? I would contact your nutritionist asap. They would be best suited to help you. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. When I was 4 days post op I was barely getting water in. I was too scared to drink the protein shakes because I thought it was going to hurt lol just work on slowly increasing your protein but you are doing better than me when I was that far! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. My sister was with me the whole 2 days I was admitted. She never went home. I'm glad because I was in a lot of pain so they drugged me up and i don't remember half the things they told me but my sister does. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Looks yummy! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Thank you. I hope I feel better soon too. If there is one thing I learned it's that I know my body and if I feel like something isn't right, I'm going to push for it to get looked into. Sad it took so much effort to get it done though.
  7. This sounds soooo good. Once I feel better I'm definitely making this!
  8. That's good! If it persists or gets worse I'd definitely reach out to your doctor! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. 40lbs is amazing in such little time!! I had bypass on 4/23 & last time I weighed myself (5 days ago) I was down 26lbs. I'm losing pretty fast. I never really put a figure in how much I thought I'd lose after surgery. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Is it sharp when you breath or just in general? Is it near an incision? I had a sharp pain when I'd take a deep breath (among other symptoms) and found out I have an infection in my lung. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Thanks everyone. I'm glad I fought for my health too. If I waited any longer than I already have who knows how bad the infection would be. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I start antibiotics tomorrow.. i'm currently feeling really down about this. Feel so unheard by my surgeon's team. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Thank you.. I really hope that one this infection clears up I'll be feeling more like myself Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I'm so upset right now that i'm on and off crying. I've been telling my surgeon's team that something isn't right and i'm having a hard time breathing. Their response was to walk more. I finally had enough when I throw up due to walking that I told them to do additional testing or refer me to someone else. They did some CT scans and noticed I had an infection in my left lung. If they listened to me sooner I would be feeling better by now instead of barely getting by. The surgical team also refused me half days at work because they believed I was fine. I'm now getting more half days at work because of this. My surgeon is great but his team.... ughhh. Sorry, rant over. Just so upset. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I started my journey at my heaviest of 340lbs. I had bypass on 4/23 & weighed 311 before surgery. I currently weight 285lbs! It's been hard and I definitely wish I started at a lower weight but... I won't give up!
  16. How has your exercise been? I know personal trainers can be expensive but some gyms allow free trials. A personal trainer could give you some exercises specifically for your tummy area.
  17. None! Yuck. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I have the same problem minus the hiccups. I love to drink and eat at the same time. The moment i'm done eating I set a 30 minute timer. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  23. I don't really experience hunger pains throughout the day. I eat because I have to. However, a new "symptom" appeared. If I don't eat after a certain amount of time my stomach starts to hurt until I do eat. It's the worst in the morning. I need to eat almost immediately when I wake up. Anyone else experience this? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Yeah, surprisingly it doesn't make me sick. Neither does drinking quickly. I try not to test it... just in case but there has been times were I forgot. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Ugh, I have such a problem with eating too fast. I don't experience any pain with eating quickly, but I'm scared cause I know it can! Tips to slow down? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
