  1. *sorry, 1st post* So I'm wondering how long the process is for BCBS in order to get the surgery. Right now I have Cigna but next year my job is switching to BCBS. I asked the Doc & he said Cigna takes 4+ months but BCBS takes 2+ months. The checklist they gave me seems easy enough to get done. Do you have BCBS? How long did it take you to get your surgery? 2 months seems too easy. I don't want to get my hopes up. [emoji21] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. That's amazing! You look great!
  3. If I were in your position, I'd know it was a trap. I've lost 60+ lbs before and felt wonderful! Told myself I'd never go back.... then I gained 80+ lbs within a year & a half. It's true... only you will know what's right but... don't be like me! I was supposed to start the WLS process in June but decided I'd try regular diet & exercise for the 100th time and I'm 20lbs heavier and officially starting the process. Do what's best for you of course... but remember that history has a tendency to repeat itself. So, if you fell in the cycle before... it's always a possibility it could happen again. ... or maybe it won't.
  4. That's super frustrating but.... you're almost done and ready to start the real journey! I wish I was as far as you right now... but I'm barely starting the process for WLS. You got this!
  5. Hope you have a speedy recovery! Everything will go well!
  6. So far my only complaint is that I waited to long to start this process. Back in June I was thinking about how I wanted to do WLS and told some people who talked me out of it. So. MUCH. REGRET. It's okay, I'm sticking to it this time around.
  7. Way to go, girl! That's amazing.
  8. I'm super new to both this forum and to WLS in general. In fact, I just started the process! I have told a handful of people about it... but not too many because nothing is guaranteed yet. I haven't even had insurance approve anything. Once it's approved, I'll tell anyone who asks. I think you should give your husband the benefit of the doubt. I don't know about you but when I know a secret I tell my best friend. So, maybe he did tell his friends but... I tell my friends everything. Telling his boss probably wasn't the best thing to do but... talk to him about it, tell him how hurt you are and keep moving forward. This journey is about you!
