  1. 175lbs sounds great!! I'm not sure if you already said this but, when is your surgery?! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. I need to lift weights!!! But all the guys at the gym scare me... I'm going to get a personal trainer the closer I get to goal to help me get that booty! Haha And I agree. I hate when people say "according to my BMI I should be this weight." Just be the weight that feels and looks right to you! What made you want to get surgery, if you don't mind me asking? 3. Yeah, the bypass you lose more faster. Either surgery though you should be able to get to your goal weight if you keep up with it and challenge yourself. I think I want to get to 140-150lbs, but I think I want to maintain at like 150-160. Thick girls are cute and I still want a booty haha! I'm just going to lose until I feel like I'm in a good spot
  4. Honestly, I understand how you feel. I was sooo scared going to the gym by myself at first. What I did was get a personal trainer... I worked with him once a week. Then, after a while, I started to feel more comfortable and able to go by myself. I'd at least inquire about the cost of a trainer at the gym you're thinking about joining. Mine was like $25 a session. I did it for a month, and I was good! I plan to get a trainer after surgery to help me build a little muscle
  5. Saaame...! Honestly gaining the weight back is my biggest fear. If I notice my weight creeping back up I'm contacting my nutritionist! ASAP. I'm going to get help. I'm not going to let this opportunity slip away, nor am I going to ruin my chances of success!
  6. haha! Definitely makes sense!! I chose the bypass because I didn't want the heartburn that seems to impact a decent amount of people after the sleeve... plus, I have a lot to lose. I guess it's normal to be second guessing myself when it's starting to come down to surgery day... I'm just ready to be post op!
  7. Can I ask you why you went for the sleeve? Lately I've been debating if the bypass is the right choice for me... idk know anymore! Anything that'll be successful, I guess!
  8. Congrats on your success! My vitamin D has always been suuuper low. It definitely makes you feel sluggish, tired and low energy. I'm always on extra vitamin D supplements. Kinda stinks. I'm still post op, but when it comes to eating, I believe you should be able to eat more than that! Have you talked to your doctor? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I get 4 protein shakes a day and raw veggies. No broth, no jello, no meal. It's terrible! I feel like I'm on a fad diet all over again. I'm trying to take it a day at a time. Yesterday I almost caved though... if I only had to do this for 2 weeks I'd be almost done! :'( Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. We have similar stats! I'm 25, 5'4. HW: 340, CW: 323. My surgery is scheduled for 4/23! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Hmm... not really. I can't think of any advice that was given to me other than "Suck it up and get it done with!" it's hard, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Mine is 4 weeks of pure heck!!! 10 days down out of 30 and 11lbs lost since starting. I wish I could just eat something. Idk if I'll last 3 more weeks... it's torture. What's your pre op consist of? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I have bcbs il too! It only took 2 hours from when it was submitted. It was crazy! I think I just got lucky. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Hey! Welcome! [emoji1] 6 months would kinda suck... but you learn a lot about eating right and things that will help you be successful post op. Just take a step at a time! I was in a rush too. Glad my insurance made me wait. I've learned a lot! Hoping everything goes well for you! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. They seriously don't!! Live my friends and family... but they just don't get it. I'm freaking starving on this pre-op diet lol Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. It's so hard!! I wish I could have SOMETHING... anything :'( idk how they expect me, a fat person with an eating disorder, to go cold turkey like this! But I'm looking at it like a test. If I can do this, then I'll do great after the surgery! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Good luck today! You'll do great!!! Hope you have a speedy recovery Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  22. 2 eggs doesn't sound too bad. Better than junk food! Just don't make it a habit. That's what i keep telling myself. What does your liquid diet consist of? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. Right! They said it's because when people cook things they add other ingredients that they shouldn't like salt, pepper, butter, ect. I feel like my liquid diet is tougher than most! But everyone probably feels that way [emoji31] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. What got them to respond?! Congrats! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. So, today was difficult for me. I'm 9 days into a 30 day liquid diet but today... I was so hungry. I thought of a million ways to cheat. I was waiting for my roommate to leave so I could head to burger king or taco bell. I thought about binging on cookies, pop & chips. On my liquid diet I'm only allowed protein shakes (4) and raw veggies. That's it. I had no energy at all day today... I wanted to binge eat everything. Instead, I compromised. I boiled some carrots, onions and peppers with a little seasoning and ate that instead. It's still cheating but... I'm proud of myself. I'm not beating myself up about it. The old me would have caved and ate junk food... Progress! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
