  1. If I had to choose between 1. Them opening me up and they may or may not be able to do the surgery or 2. Having to reschedule but unsure if my insurance would cover it... I'd choose option 1. Stick to liquids and keep pushing forward! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. So, right after surgery my period came early. Now my period is like 2 weeks late. I have literally NEVER missed my period since getting it at the age of 12 (as much as I'd wish it would) My period is more reliable than any of the previous men in my life! Now... nothing. Happen to anyone else? Also, definitely 100% not pregnant due to the fact that i'm single af & not the random hookup type Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. You know your body better than anyone. If you believe something is wrong, keep pushing until someone hears you out.... that's what I would tell a future wls patient. After surgery my surgeon's team wouldn't believe me when I said something was wrong until a month later and they found out I had pneumonia, partially collapsed lung and Fluid around the lungs. 4. I hate the foamies too! So I definitely understand. I wish sugar & carbs made me sick. So far the only good that's made me really sick was a Turkey burger! Gave me a really bad case of the foamies... I hope you start losing soon. I just think you need to switch things up a bit. Have you tried reaching out to your NUT? 5. It could merit therapy, especially if you decide to act upon it. Therapy is a good thing. I do therapy and its helped tremendously. Something to think about IF you get to that point. Eating more doesn't equate to gaining weight if you're eating the right foods. Your body needs nourishment. There are a lot of us who eat 1200+ calories & lose weight. That's because our bodies aren't in starvation mode. Sorry if my tips didn't help. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I have a cup every now and then... but only 8oz. I don't mind a little empty calories sometimes. I only drink coffee when i'm sick of water. It's probably one every two weeks I'll have a cup. I hate coffee breath & was never a big coffee drinker before surgery either. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. 1000 calories seems pretty low. Your body could be in starvation mode. Have you thought about increasing your calorie intake with more veggies & protein? What's your current eating habit? Other than walking, are you exercising? Stalls happen, but if your way of thinking is "if I don't lose weight I'll eat whatever I want" you might want to talk to a therapist or counselor. Omg! LOVE this! I'll add to this too... people who freak out about a week stall. *eye roll* keep following the plan you were given and you'll be fine! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. It's weird... it stopped today. If it continues I'll reach out to my doc & keep you posted [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Congrats on your weight loss success! You may have gained a little but you recognize the problem and you're catching it before it's an even bigger issue. Definitely track calories and reduce carbs. Maybe switch a meal with a protein shake. You can do this! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Has anyone heard the foamies ALL day?? Doesn't matter if I'm eating or not. I just produce a foam in my mouth all day. I have to spit it out and that's a little inconvenient at work. This just started 2 days ago. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I disagree. Everyone's journey is different. Also, being bigger means our journey is longer.
  13. I say try it one night. See if your acid reflux acts up. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I don't understand why keeps avoid carbs so much. Carbs are an important staple in our diets. In moderation. I'd do what the doc says! Hopefully that'll help your energy. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I don't believe in any religion but if someone says they'll pray for me I say thank you. They're not imposing their belief on me. Instead they're going out of their way to think of me in my time of need. Honestly, I think you might be a little... uptight. No reason to get offended or upset. That's a waste of energy. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I'm the same way. I do try to take my time but if I forget and eat/drink too quickly I don't really have any discomfort. I'm taking it as a blessing. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. Congrats!! 80lbs is amazing!!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I'd say your fine. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. That's amazing!!! Congrats!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I agree... I can't imagine working after 2 days. I was barely alive I swear lol honestly you need to be prepared for any outcome. I'm 5 weeks post op and was diagnosed with pneumonia that was picked up in the hospital. I'm on antibiotics and STILL recovering. I hope everything goes well for you but 2days.... that's really not enough time. Most desk workers take at least a week. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I need to invest in sundresses so that they do last! My jeans are falling off me. I'm not going to buy new ones until end of summer/fall.
  22. I had a turkey burger yesterday... I've never been in so much pain! I definitely think it was too dry. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. Omfg. I would have asked for the manager ASAP. Glad your husband has your back ♡ Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I had diarrhea forever! Until I upped my protein. Then I got constipated... then i moved to pureed food and i'm having regular BMs Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. All I did was sleep basically until like 8 days post op. I can still go for a daily nap though. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
