Heat exhaustion or WHAT?!
The heat has dragged me down too. It's too much, too soon for the body. 30-something degree temperature swings are difficult to adjust to. To top it off, tomorrow is supposed to be a high of only 50.

Instant Pot!
I saw this and thought of weed. Actually, I really wish I could get a hit right now and just drift away.

Hiccurps...burccups?
Hicburps, LOL! I had them even pre-surgery. They're more or less a side effect of getting the gall bladder removed which happened to me in 2002.

To Jump or Not to Jump
Even when I was thin as a young child, I never had the coordination to jump rope. As @FluffyChix says, "White men can't jump." BAHAHAHA!

Craving a soft pretzel right now
Now that is one of the best ideas I've heard in a while!

Craving a soft pretzel right now
Exactly!

Craving a soft pretzel right now
Thanks! I'll admit to being motivated by weight loss results. I am so over being above 300 pounds. It's just killing me slowly.

Feeling Hungry & Freaked out
Every now and then I will get small hunger pangs, but for the most part, I don't really feel hungry. Unfortunately, on this beautiful, warm Philly evening I am getting some small ones badly but I've set up a hard cut off time for food. Nothing to eat after 7:00PM. Plus, I've reached my protein goal for the day - well, a little bit above it actually. I am at 110g and the target is 100. Maybe I am just bored outta my ever-lovin' mind.

Craving a soft pretzel right now
It's after 7:00PM here and I've set 7:00PM as the cut off for food intake. I had a pre-surgery bad habit of eating late. I am leaving that one in the dust.

Craving a soft pretzel right now
For some messed up reason I am craving a Philly Pretzel Factory soft pretzel. Maybe I am just bored because I know I am not hungry and I am well hydrated. GRRRRRRR! Must. Resist. Temptation.

When will I be able to eat “normally”
Definitely enjoy this while it lasts! You shouldn't feel rude for not cleaning your plate. We have such a screwed up notion that if our plates aren't cleaned, we're somehow being disrespectful or rude. I kind of hope that I will never be able to eat normally again.

frustrating
This ^^ ... I've fallen into the bad habit of weighing myself everyday and I've been pretty vocal against it. I want to break myself of this habit as it really isn't healthy.

Flatulence
Typical guy here but I am proud of that flatulence!

Flatulence
I've got so much gas that I'm a fire hazard. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

Note to self
It's okay. It's a good lesson to learn!

Medicare?
I am. What questions do you have?

Has anyone's sleep apnea worsened since surgery?
Yeah, I know. I am just alarmed because before surgery I was less than 1 apnea an hour.
-
Metabolism?
Apparently I misunderstood the data I was being told. Thank you for correcting me because I really don't want to spread wrong information. That is statistically significant but still a minority.

frustrating
As you get closer to goal weight, it get's harder and harder. Relative to me, you're within spitting distance of your goal weight. Just keep persevering and following your program. The stall will break eventually.

Has anyone's sleep apnea worsened since surgery?
Despite being quite a bit less in weight now, it looks like my sleep apnea has gotten worse. Last night I had an average of over 5 apneas per hour. Has this happened to anyone else?

This guy is amazing!!
You have to watch this video! It gives you all of the best answers to the people who will spit in your face for choosing surgery. He is easy to like:

Hoarseness
It should clear up soon. Whether you got sleeved or bypassed, you get intubated during surgery. This is often the cause of the hoarseness. I was hoarse for about a week.

Tylenol PM
I use Tylenol PM on occasion. It is not an NSAID, so it is okay to use in the short term. I am having a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I've heard tell that this not an uncommon experience while losing weight. Your hormones and endocrinology get a little bit out of whack. I am sure it will adjust some in the coming months.

Newbie here! Oregon
Yes, Medicare does not deny. Since I am on disability, I have Medicare and used it to cover my surgery. The document, NCD 100.1, will provide you with the specific requirements for Bariatric Surgery. These will not vary from region to region as an NCD means National Coverage Determination.
