i posted a regret post around 3 months out as well. even 6 months out i think i posted one. now - 10 months out. i'm golden. not just my weight/size but also how and what i can eat is all good now.
all i'm saying is, it takes time. so i hope, for your sake, that is the case as well. but you're right. it ISN'T the right decision for everyone. But you are still very early on in your recovery. hoping for the best for you. xo

Thank you, berry. I just cringe when I see things like this because I wonder if people are aware of the very real dangers.

Here are the Vitamin supplements that I take. The brand is Bariatric Advantage and they are pretty good. I actually look forward to them. The texture and taste are very much like Starbursts. I also take the same brand of Calcium supplements in this same type of chewable but I didn’t have the packaging for those with me.

As of October 12, 2017, I am 4 months post op and have lost 100 pounds. I have reached my goal weight and could not be more ecstatic!

I was back on coffee 3 days post-op, but that was with my team's blessing. We talked about it - alot. Until about 6 months out carbonation hurt to drink. Now, I can drink seltzer with no problem and every once and a while, I'll have a diet coke.
Rice - I'll put a tablespoon or two on my plate and nibble just to get the taste. I eat the high Protein Barilla Pasta, but am full after 1/2 cup cooked.
I have a glass of wine or a cocktail a few nights a week, but keep them within my daily calorie intake and only after I have met my protein and Water goals for the day.
Sometimes I'll have half of a small baked potato. I eat everything, but it gets logged and I don't go over my budget of calories - so if I have a slice of bread its going to be a damn good one because I'm not wasting those calories on a stinkin piece of white bread!
Today, I had a small piece (about the size of my thumb) of an Amish soft pretzel at the farmer's market. My daughter ate the rest - but that small piece was enough to scratch the itch I had.

Oh awesome. Well with the two week pre-op diet, the surgery and this last seven days of Clear Liquids, I’m down about 22lbs. It might be more, our scales are old and not giving good reading. So the morning of surgery on the 30th, I got up a sn our scale said 190. Got to hospital with shoes on and it said 186, so that was a nice surprise.

My high weight was 195, and on the day of surgery I was 180 and 5'2". I had high BP, cholesterol, and pre diabetes. Now, almost 3 months later, I'm at 151, and my goal is around 130. It's definitely been a slow process, but worth it. I was able to stop BP meds and cholesterol by my 6 week follow up. Recovery was easier than expected and I have gone from wearing xl shirts to medium.

    Hi all
I was looking for a 200 pounds and under posts, but couldn't find it. Are there any of you out there under 200 pounds who had the surgery and loosing the weight. My frame is 5'3”and I was 202 at the start of the program, did the LSD, and lost about 15 pounds. Had the surgery on 10-30-17 and at about 181.1 pounds. I know I don't have as much weight to loose as others, but it's still hard for us that are at 200 pounds. So anyone want to talk, would love to hear from you.

I'm in las vegas and had my surgery done with dr. Atkinson 1/30/17. I would love to meet people to exercise with. I walk a lot but it does get boring doing it alone. I know it's getting hot but all the malls are air-conditioned...for now early mornings still work and there are some nice parks around town. 😆

Now that my surgery date is set in stone, I'm beginning to think "what if this doesn't work?" Like I spend a chunk of money on a procedure and it doesn't do what I hoped it would. Maybe I'm just overthinking and I'm just so used to myself not ever losing the amount of weight I wished to. It's hard to think of an operation like VSG to actually work when I've been overweight my whole life. I just don't want to screw myself over. Have any of you been in this mood?

I had no requirement at all for a pre-op diet but I did a self imposed liquid diet for 3 days and lost 7 pounds in that time.

I've just barely woke up after 12 hours of sleeping post-op. Walked some laps around the ward. Now having some broth and Water.

I had mine on a Thursday and was back to the office on Monday. Use to having several reconstructive surgeries so this surgery was minor to me. One thing I learned from all my surgeries is the importance of walking asap. Within an hour of being brought up from recovery I was walking around the nurses station and down the hall and doing that quite often. That's a huge help in keeping the gas from building up. Greatly reduces bloating and pain.
