  1. I experienced some discomforts but nowhere as near the pain that I've heard people talk about on here. When I felt uncomfortable, I would take a quick walk and that seemed to work just fine.
  2. No, my surgery was at 8am and I was out before noon. They let me wake up and rest for a little. Not sure how long my surgery lasted.
  3. Johns Creek, GA, just northeast of Atlanta.
  4. I had outpatient VSG. I hate hospitals, therefore it worked out great for me. They just made sure I could walk on my own and used the bathroom before discharging me.
  5. My sleeve was an outpatient. I thought they were crazy, but everything turned out well. I ended up staying in the facility for 2 hours. They wanted to make sure I could walk and used the restroom before leaving. You'll be fine. Best of luck!
  6. Challenge Starting weight: 214 Current weight lost: 75 lbs Losing or maintaining weight: lose Fitness/exercise goal: exercise 3 days a week

  10. No, maybe I wasn't clear enough. You are correct, people do lose at different rates, however, everyone can set their own personal goal of the weight they would like to lose by Memorial day. The challenge is just to offer each other some encouragement along the way. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone would like to do a weight loss challenge that would run until May 25? I'm not the most organized person, so someone would have to get things together. Anyone up for the challenge? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. All is well. I had to adjust my carb intake also and like you I started seeing results right away. I'm down 65lbs, hoping to lose another 50lbs. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. When you are 30 or 40 years old, trust me you will wish you had done it sooner. I'm 36 and wish I had done it way sooner. Get your head on straight and do what's best for you. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Outstanding! You look awesome. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I was hoping to lose 75lbs also. So far, I have lost 55lbs. I've had a few stalls, but I'm going to continue to power through them and get as close to 75 as I can. You should have no problems hitting your target. Best of luck. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Wow! Way to go. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I started shedding a little more hair than usual in December. So, I decided to do a protective hairstyle, hoping to reduce any tension or unnecessary stress on my hair. After 3 weeks, I take my hair down and I have a full fist of hair. My hair loss seemed to have doubled and now I have noticed sections of my hair thinning, almost bald. I'm almost to the point of calling it quits and purchasing a wig to wear until my hair loss stops and hair it starts growing again. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. SW: 286 (10/6/17) CW: 231 (1/15/17) GW: 175 (tbd) Total weight loss: 55lbs This has been an amazing journey and one that I plan on continuing. I have never lost this much weight before. I'm so happy that I decided to get sleeved. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. I gained 10lbs in 3 months. Everyday I had a food funeral. I went on a 1 day liquid fast and dropped 5lbs. I think you will be okay. This is a new week, so try and eat better. Or at least don't over do it with the food funerals. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Today, 1/10/2018, on the final weigh in, I'm 5lbs shy of my 9wk goal of 233. Which is awesome. Didn't think I would ever see 230 anything before having the sleeve. Needless to say, I'm very thankful. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
