Congrats on reaching one of your goals! It’s great to set those incremental goals because it always gives you something to work towards, and at the same time gives you that mental boost when you reach them.

Today I hit my first mini goal I set for myself early on in my journey. In February of this year I was at my highest at 327. At my consultation I was 291, surgery date 10/16/17 was 283, and today, 11/23 I am 249.4. 77.6 lbs down overall and over 33 since surgery. I still have work to do, but am so excited to hit the first of many goals I’ve set for myself.
    My next goal is 225.

I'm going to stick to my plan. Protein first, so maybe a couple ounces of moist turkey, and then vegetables. If room, maybe a tablespoon of mashed potatoes. My pouch is too restrictive to indulge in a bunch of crap, so I'll just stay the course and enjoy the people and conversation at the table rather than the heaping plate in front of me.

Please point out where I was rude. I can accept dispassionate or curt, but I don't agree that I was rude anywhere. Rude would be telling someone to take a stick out of their rear.
Dang, just saw that you were done here so that just fell on deaf ears.

Hey I'm sorry you're having a down day. ((hugs)). So let's rearrange your POV and turn that frown upside down, mkay?
You are 8 weeks out. Average weight loss for non-surg peeps is anywhere from 1-2lbs per week. That would be a max of about 16lbs if people lose 2lbs EVERY week. Right? But come on, how many people lose 2lbs every week??? Not many. Cuz stalls happen!
So you've lost 237-202=35lbs in 8 weeks. 35/8=4.375=4 3/8lb per week! Great job!!!
Holy crap Batman! You've lost 4.375lbs per week, on average. That's not great, it's outstanding!!!! It's actually really a very quick rate of loss over that time frame!
So adjust your love goggles, Mamacita and get on with being happy about your success!
    Congrats!

Just stick to the plan. I was sleeved 10/16 and had been in a stall for 10 days or so. In the past 5 days I've dropped 4 lbs. I didn't change anything. I stuck to my plan and exercised like I have been doing. You will do the same. It may be 10 days, it might be 5 days, it might be 3 weeks. Your body is changing even though the scale may not reflect it.

@CaliforniaCandyI had VSG in Kaiser South Sacramento 10/16. My initial consultation was 08/11 and had all my appointments crammed in as quickly as I could. You will have nutrition classes, support group meetings, surgeon consult, psych appt, etc. Feel free to ask any questions.
    Thanks,

    Mike

Luckily my job is flexible, so when scheduling the next appointment, I asked for the next available and was able to speed things along that way.

@RomAncaI don't have any hunger. I eat at a normal breakfast/lunch/dinner time knowing that I need that fuel and Protein to keep my body going. I haven't experienced a real hunger since surgery. It's a very strange feeling, but I'll take it! I am down 66lbs from my heaviest way (actually 68 lbs now), and 31 lbs since my initial surgeon consult, 18 lbs since surgery.

I was sleeved 10/16/17, had the wonderful (sarcasm) 3rd week stall last week, scale didn't move for 6 days. Yesterday, finally down 2 lbs from where I had been all week, and this morning down 1 lb from that. I'm still on the puree diet which is getting pretty old, but it's part of my plan so I am sticking with it. Next week I'll be able to have soft foods, moist chicken/fish/turkey, etc and steamed vegetables, which I am looking forward to. Exercising regularly, having to buy new clothes (just enough to get me through the next few weeks, not a whole wardrobe), and getting comments quite often about how great I look. A friend of mine that I hadn't seen in about 4 months walked by me the other night and didn't recognize me until I stopped her, so that was pretty cool. Still have 65lbs or so to GW, but happy with the progress so far. The weight wasn't put on overnight, and will not come off overnight. It's a journey, and it's been a great one so far.

@DropWt4Life Kudos to you! You are an inspiration. February of this year I was at my heaviest, 327lbs. I had surgery 10/16 and weighed 278 the day of surgery, and am 258 today. It feels great. Unfortunately, I'm not the 6'3" that you are and am only 5'10". I'm hoping to be 100lbs+ lighter in February of 18. Keep at it!
