  2. Maybe switch up your whole routine? Have you lost inches though? It won't always show on the scale. I'm in a second stall right now so I get it's aggravating. The last time I didn't exercise for a week and then I started again and I started losing weight again. Have you told your surgeon? They can give tips and suggestions! Sorry you're frustrated! Why is it a secret?

For being nurses and in the medical field, they sure are misinformed about weight loss and Surgery! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Why is it a secret?

I think it's about preference honestly. I tell everyone who asks, even strangers, because I see it as a learning experience for the ignorant. The ones who say "why don't you just eat less", "that's the easy way out", "how about you get off your butt". Surgery is not easy. The preparation is tedious, recovery is hard and for the rest of your life food becomes a whole other ball game. My surgeon said my stomach was so large, no wonder I was always hungry. I usually ask those people "Do you eat when you're hungry?" Does it bother you having the hunger feeling? Now imagine your stomach was 3 times the size it is now. A lot of times they're like "oh" (the most common response I get). I had 22oz worth of stomach removed and for the first time in 12 years, I know what it's like to feel full without eating an entire pizza or 3 chicken breasts. Everyone is different and some are more private. I've always been open about myself. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. You're not eating enough. In order for us post surgery to get enough calories in a day, we should be eating 6 small meals a day. It sounds like you're starving your body so it's shutting down. Make sure you're getting in as close to 64 oz of fluids as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. I am 15 days post OP sleeve and over the last 5 days I haven't lost any more Weight! I did look it up and it seems it's a normal thing around this time, but I wanted to hear your opinions or if anyone has experienced this as well? If it matters, I'm up to about 59 oz of fluids a day and soft foods (eggs, low-fat cottage cheese, protein shakes, etc). What are your experiences? Cream Soups

The one I've used in the past is by Buzzfeed if you ever want to look directly at the recipe! The only thing I switch out is the cheese used for change and regular parmesan not vegan! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Question!

I've had them all, my favorite is Slimfast Advanced Nutrition. Not to be confused with their regular Slimfast shakes which are full of sugar! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Carbonation!!!!!

An addiction** Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Carbonation!!!!!

Carbonation and alcohol is a no-no for one year post-op. It will increase the size of your pouch. Over indulgence in food is essentially and addiction. We are addicted to food. When you can no longer eat the food, your addiction to turn to something else. Hence the no alcohol! I don't know your personal stage of post surgery, but if you're finding you're having cravings for soda and mimosas, etc, call your doc! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Cream Soups

That just means soups that have more consistency than broth. Any soup not broth (beef, chicken, veggie broth like you cook with) is a "cream". Tomato soup, cream of chicken, mushroom, cheese, French onion, etc. My favorite is tomato soup. When I get to the point of solid foods (I'm 6 days post-op) I will be making cauliflower "grilled cheese" and tomato soup so I feel like I'm indulging [emoji23]. 14. Hi there, I just had my LSG on Wednesday. I'm 30, with a 5 and 2.5 yr old. The biggest thing is make sure you have support! SO, husband, family, best friend, whoever! They will adjust to you being temporarily away. I'm 6 days post op and I feel pretty great minus fatigue if I walk too much. You will be fine!
