Surgery tomorrow, freaking out!

I’m having really bad anxiety about the surgery. I keep overthinking everything from wether or not to do the surgery down to do I pack certain items or not. I’m 28 years old with two young kids and I’m worried about them and trying to recover with them. What if something bad happens during surgery.. kinda freaking out today! Is this normal??

Try to Focus on the positive. On how much more energy you will have for your children, now and in the future. Follow your doctor's order and you will be fine. I am four weeks out of a roux en y I am back to work and walked over 101, 000 steps last week. Best thing I've ever done for my health. Down 30 pounds. Best tool to better health.

Hi there, I just had my LSG on Wednesday. I'm 30, with a 5 and 2.5 yr old. The biggest thing is make sure you have support! SO, husband, family, best friend, whoever! They will adjust to you being temporarily away. I'm 6 days post op and I feel pretty great minus fatigue if I walk too much. You will be fine!

You are not alone with your feelings, I think there are many that go thru this!!! Think about how much easier you can play and care for your children. Your life will be so fuller you will have the energy to do more than you ever thought possible!! Hang in there it is a great thing!! One more thing: KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE and KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!

I agree with everyones comments. Its actually the reason i postoned doing this surger.for two years. I was scared. But as the years went by i wasnt getting healthier and i knew i needed help.

Hey guys.. all prepped and it’s almost that time!!! Doing a lot better with all my thoughts today.

That one was from this morning. All done. I’ve been extremely nauseous and in a good amount of pain.

How r u feeling

It will get better. Cough with a pillow hold tight. I put on a pair of lycra stretch pants to hold my stomach fat in place. Once you can stabilize the stitches or Staples you will feel better. Make sure you drink the water that they tell you too. And then go for a nice walk!

Remember you did this to move around more. Get your rest, and heal!

Your journey is just beginning!
