  1. Good luck! Please keep me updated. I have my 3rd week check up tomorrow and I hope they are ready to fix this!
  2. Oh geez I hope this doesn’t continue for 2 months!! Did they do anything to help you?
  3. Thanks. I have my class tomorrow so I’m going to have to try and see my doc. This is awful!
  4. I’m 3 weeks out and going threw this same thing! My doc wants to wait and see if it’s just swollen in there before doing anything.. I’m miserable. Just curious how your doing now and have they done anything else to help?
  5. I’m about 3 weeks post op. Every time I eat I puking it up with 5-10 mins. No matter what it is, how slow I eat, or how little bites I take I always throw it up! Seen my doc a couple times, got sent to hospital for fluids. Other then that they want to wait and see what happens. I’m suppose to be on soft foods but can’t even keep down the puréed. I’ve tried but it’s the same result. Doc mentioned a few things they might to but again they want to wait and see if it’s just swollen in there or is something is closing or whatever. I’ve tried everything they have suggested but no luck. Please someone tell me this isn’t my new normal! Spending more time in the bathroom then with my kids. Has anyone had this? Did your doc do something to help?

  14. I’m having really bad anxiety about the surgery. I keep overthinking everything from wether or not to do the surgery down to do I pack certain items or not. I’m 28 years old with two young kids and I’m worried about them and trying to recover with them. What if something bad happens during surgery.. kinda freaking out today! Is this normal??
  15. Mine is on the 27th. I started my optifast shakes last week and continue on them until surgery. It's hard. I have cheated and had a couple bites of chicken and broccoli twice because my body felt drained and I had no energy. It seemed to help. Hopefully won't hurt me any. What are you guys planning on doing after surgery for meals after all liquids are over? Puréed anything sounds awful. They said try to get in all my proteins with food before supplementing shakes but a blended chicken breast sounds disgusting!! Good luck guys!
  16. Good luck!! Mine is on the 27th. I was also wondering what to bring. My paperwork didn't say anything about the cell phone being to close to the bed but it did say to make sure someone had them while we were in surgery so they weren't "missed placed" or lost.

  18. Just started my classes last week, they want to "fast track" me, so my date is now September 27th. All in one week, I have a closer date then I thought, had to get a endoscopy yesterday and now I am getting a roux en y instead of a sleeve.... my head is spinning and getting overwhelmed! Excited and grateful because this has been over a year of waiting but now it's starting to feel real!
  19. Hey do either of you guys no of a shake that can replace optifast. I have to loose a good amount of weight before they will schedule my surgery and I can't afford optifast, which they recommended 2-4weeks of or how ever long it take me to loose this weight. I know I need a VERY LOW CALORIE meal replacement shake. I prefer to buy it at a store and not online but everything I've looked at have higher calories and carbs. I don't know what the right amount of protein I need verses calories and carbs. I start my classes in a week or so but want to get started now to get a jump start.
  20. So I have another question. I have been looking into very low calorie meal replacement shakes.. I bought a couple waiting for them to come in the mail.. but now I'm thinking the calories are to high for what I need. What should the calories, carbs, proteins be? Everything is so different I don't no what to get.
  21. Okay will do, thanks for all the info!
