Okay - good to know. I was never told to see a NUT.. since I was losing so fast as is.. I only eat strawberries- but I definitely have been eating sweet treats. I count those calories in my day- but it’s likely why I’m stalling.... eating junk in small quantities can hurt too I guess

Oh darling... I’m so sorry for all you’ve gone through.. sounds like things are great with the wedding and new job! Keep your head up- as you haven’t gained that much.. I wouldn’t personally do carb cutting or anything that you can’t stick to- but find a high Fiber balanced plan.. drink lots of water- and if you’re not- get therapy and spend time doing things that make you feel calm and happy. You’re worth it and life is about more than our weight.. YOU got this! You’re in control. When I’m feeling low- I turn to long walks, good music, good movies, fruit, etc... I’m sorry your mom was nasty toward you... I can relate. ( sisters) I wish you the best.

Makes sense. When I’m on my period I tend to give zero F%%ks. But I definitely would love to get out of this weight range - so I need to push harder. It’s a battle. Yes I get full super fast- but the more things I can now digest, the more tempting it is to eat foods that aren’t nutritious.. I do have cravings, but notice them gone the longer I can go without those junky foods...

    I have no regrets.
I have smelly poop but oh well.
I’ve never pooped myself or anything like that.
I have gas sometimes but control it if I need to with gas x.
My biggest issue is Constipation, but I had that issue pre surgery it’s just worse now.

We are all different . No guarantee any negative gi effect will happen, or won’t happen.

You need to start out by giving yourself credit. Despite all the crap you've dealt with, you haven't put all the weight back on. That's amazing to me. Your life is in a better place right now (best wishes on the wedding and congrats on the good job!) It's the perfect time to start putting back together the parts of your life that are still not where you want them to be. If I were you, I'd start with your surgeon's office. They can probably recommend the best options for you in your area. I wish you the best!

Thanks joe. Did your wife get to that number within a year or so? Most people even heavier than me- have reached below 130.. not sure how long it took them. Lots of people have claimed they kept slowly losing weight for up to 1.5-2 yrs after surgery. That’s great for your wife. I’m 35... so, I’d expect to keep dropping.. fingers crossed I can break plateau.

I've been stuck since early June also, but.....my fault entirely. I'm kind of burned out. All I can say is track your intake and drink more Water. That's what I plan to do. At least I'm not gaining.

My wife had the surgery 9 plus years ago. She was 5ft 1 inch and 250 lbs. She is now 135 lbs. The lowest she hit was 125 the doctor wanted her at 130 lbs he mentioned the 125 was two low. She also was 50 at time of surgery. Don't give up just follow the rules the doctor provided and slowly it will come off.

Actually your stall is not all that long, not saying it isn't annoying as heck. Try calorie cycling, a couple days a little lower, then a day higher, etc. On the low days eat only within an 8 hour window like intermittent fasting. Changing the foods around sometimes kicks it into gear, we tend to eat the same things after awhile. Try fish for a week, etc. Good luck.

SGirl35 got a reaction from Frustr8 in HOLY COW! Is this Dumping?
Well- at first dumping symptoms are pretty dramatic and I might say they feel like they last 20min but they don’t... it could have been dumping? But that early on is mostly when you’ll feel severe symptoms... it will get better. 10 months out I still get dumping often- but not so bad... keep an eye on it, cus it can be other things though hun.

You can change up your macros on the app. I eat wayyyy more carbs. I eat around 80-120 grams a day! I eat less Protein. I’m 9 months post op and just started eating chicken and 1000-1200 cals a day and some more if I hit the gym. I now barely started stalling... I’m down 105lbs .. but now I lose hardly 5-8lbs a month... try eating 1000cals and more carbs if you can... hang in there! You’ll lose more ... it is very strange that you can eat solids like that at 6 weeks... it took me over 4 months! And now I can slowly eat junky meats.... sadly. I do eat nuts and stuff. Helps my hair not fall out so much I feel ...

4lbs a week is fabulous!! It may slow down much more than that honey. When you get small, it will. Then it’s discouraging. I’m going through that. Not to say you aren’t smaller now.

Thanks for the tips! I graze a lot too! But that’s mostly because I can’t digest most real foods yet. However! I do count every single calories and stay under 1200 even when I eat junk foods. So that way I don’t feel deprived and can still lose my weight. Seems to work for me. I change my calories and workouts and then I see another drop. 9 months post op. 20lbs left! I need to work hard for this last 20 though! Snail slow! Having “ stall “ type going on for the first time. Still thankful. I’m bypass so I can’t eat too much anyhow. Making sure I don’t stretch the pouch .

This list is long... don’t judge. Lol
    I have no sex drive.
    No arousal sensation.
    I shop wayyyy too much.
    I lost friends
I don’t like being around unhealthy people
I always watch how much people eat and think “ damn” that’s a lot .
I feel guilty when I eat most foods.
I feel weird when I buy size small or medium clothing. Like it’s for someone else.
I feel more confident and attractive now.
Other than that- I’m the same. Less moody now. Still a nice girl. Lol.

If my weight only stayed the same for a week, I’d be stoked! Mine stays the same for weeks now... yes I do eat more now.. no , I don’t workout as much. I know that’s why .. but on the bright side? I’m down 105lbs.. just need to exit the 140’s to be happier... in a slump. Pms eating. Happy you’re body fat percentage is reducing. I should probably get mine checked.

sure there is hope and success of keeping weight loss off permanently!!
Six (6)+ years ago i was sleeved. Lost 105 lbs by years end. GOAL
DOS 235 lbs - 130 lbs GOAL 135 lbs CW
around 2.5 years, i felt good restriction. After that, it's "all in my head"
WLS helped me reach GOAL - but then i was pretty much on my own.
(mentally i had stay on the straight and arrow) NOT easy, but i'm still
    around to talk about it!!
i periodically have fluctuated a few lbs - but i consider myself at maintenance
some OP gain weight PO, they were successful, reached GOAL or close.
Felt over confident, lax off and start eating wrong, grazing all the time, grazing
    - that is how many gained weight.
After losing your extra weight, you must stick with the program ALWAYS
Continue your good habits you learned. You are NOT done when that "number"
is achieved. NOT easy, but you can do it. It aint over til the fat lady sings!!
    good luck

Proudgrammy are you saying that after 2 1/2 years you felt no restriction at all?
You look amazing and I am grateful for your words of wisdom, just want to clarify about the restriction.

I had a one-week, maybe 10 day stall of being stuck at the same number. Then I went out of town unexpectedly from Sat. morning to Monday afternoon, had to eat out every meal, came home and the scale says I'm 3 lbs. down! I guess I'm going to quit worrying about stalls and just get on with life. Signed up for my first-ever yoga class later today! I'm so excited!

Think of a stall, Folks. as your body rebooting. Every so often it takes a moment or so,to try to get itself in balance and then when it relaxes a little more weight comes off. Remember it was, happy when you were obese. It is just that you and your bariatric surgeon didn't agree!😧
