Today is my 3 month surgiversary. I'm down 53lbs since surgery and 141lbs total since I started the 6 month pre-op program last May.
40lbs to go to hit my goal.

Dec. 8th here. Down 40 lbs since surgery and 128 lbs since starting the 6 month pre-op diet. It's only going 2-3lbs per week now, but I'm still losing every week.

Did you just have surgery? If so, it's gas in your house rib cage. Walking will help.

You may not want to hear this, but if you have a true referral - driven H M O plan, it's likely that your doc gets financial incentives by keeping your medical costs down (i.e. keeping the insurance company's medical spend down). It's called risk - share contacting. This may be the reason they're against bariatric surgery, as in the short term it increases your costs as a patient and thus decreases their quarterly reimbursement from the insurance company.
(edit: why is H M O... As in health maintenance organization... a filtered word that comes across asterisks?)

I'm feeling a little happy right now. At the risk of sounding braggy, I'll be brief
Dropped another 3lbs since Monday.. (298)
It might seem too early to be so happy about weight loss. But for a good 14 years, no matter how strict a diet, I couldn't get below that 300 mark
But it's exciting because I know I will look back at these photos in a year, a year and a half and think, "I can't believe I did it"
June: When I rejoined the YMCA -365 pounds
    Nov 27, 2017 I began my preop diet : 344 pounds
Dec 11, 2017. Day of VSG surgery : 321 pounds
    Today: 295 pounds
    See me in a year

    Toomanytacos,
The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn with your resting metabolic rate. My goal is to lift heavy to preserve muscle during my fat loss in order to fill out loose skin. The reality is that you'll never "add" muscle at only ~1000 calories a day... The goal is to prevent losing as much muscle that you already have as possible.

    Starting weight: 406 (6/13/17)
    Surgery weight: 318 (12/11/17)

    Goal weight: 225 (I'm 6'3")

I'm 6 weeks and 3 days out. Here is what my lunch was today (and you're damn straight I ate the crackers that came with it). I can only eat about 3-3.5oz at a time, so am eating about 4-5 meals a day totaling about 750-850 calls per day.

You'll use a mitre saw more than a table saw. Be sure to get a double bevel and sliding as stated above.
Check out Craigslist or your local pawn shop. You can find quality used tools for half price or cheaper than new.

I found this thread a motivation, so I figured I would add to it now that I'm officially post-sleeve.
I started off at 406 during my initial consult back in June. My insurance required a 6 month diet program, in which I lost 88lbs pre-op. My official surgery weight was 318 on 12/11/17, and as of this morning, I'm at 313.8.
    Almost to TWOderland!!!

BlueCrush got a reaction from AK37 in Weight Regain After Gastric Sleeve
Curious from the sleeve veterans, how does regain happen? Does your sleeve eventually get to the point where it's not restrictive after a few years? Grazing on junk throughout the day to get around the restriction? Still restrictive, but eating bad food instead of Protein with what little can fit? Combination? Other?
As someone who has lost and regained almost 100lbs several times in my life, regain is my biggest fear. I would love to learn from others experiences of what common gsv regain pitfalls to avoid.
I'm only about 2.5 weeks post-op. Thanks in advance!
