  1. Hi Chynadoll! Thanks so much, my recovery has been slow motion only because my threshold for pain is a 0 lol therefore I knew i wouldn't be bouncing back quickly like some others can. I am still really sore on my left side an have been experiencing awful nausea almost daily but it's nothing I had not prepared for already. I am 20 days post op and finally on full liquids stage but not many of the creme soups, thinned oatmeal or grits agrees with my stomach so I have been sticking with chicken noodle broth or watered down tomatoes soup and it is such a struggle to get the required 32oz milk an 64 oz liquid. I am doing good to get a 2 cups down but I am trying to force as much as I can down to avoid dehydration. As it stands today my stats are: HW 257, 9/27 SW 241, CW 224. I have gotten alot of tips from the forums so this site has been really helpful. Thanks so much for checking on me on my road to recovery..I am a work in progress with absolutely no regrets despite the pain I still feel an see the progress to come so I am excited if whats to come. Keep up the fantastic work and i look forward to reading everyone's updates an journeys. That keeps me motivated on my journey! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    bad day.....Anal tissue.

Hi i had fissures so i completely understand the level of discomfort they can be. Sitz baths are highly recommended and was advised by my Dr. Sitz baths will bring great relief for the pain, inflammation an swelling in that area. If u don't have a sitz bath a warm soak in the tub will also work and for a little extra healing I also added a few spoonfuls of Epson salt to the water which worked wonders an helps for many ailments. I hope you feel better an this helps you out. Good Luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I look forward to seeing any kind of food other than broth..lol. Now did you ever experience the spasms in your belly? If so what did you do? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Hi I'm one of Dr. Macik's patients. I got released 9/29.My Surgery date was 9/27. Been in alot of discomfort from the surgery an trying to force the fluids in but it's rough. The gas has finally subsided which is making me feel somewhat better. I have a very low low threshold for pain like 0..lol so for me it's been a struggle to get through this first week. Drinking the 32oz of skim milk has been a challenge because I am not a milk drinker at all. I keep experiencing these spasms in my stomach that is very painful so I am going to calling in to see if this is normal. The diet is pretty much easy for me especially since my intake is low because my appetite is gone but I look forward to the puree stage. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. Hi Chynadoll619! You look absolutely amazing. I can only imagine how wonderful you feel seeing your results. This is YOUR journey an you keep doing exactly what you are doin. I find myself getting quite nervous and emotional the closer my surgery day comes which is 9/27 because I know this was one of the toughest decisions I have pondered on over the years and I pray for this kind of success on the post op side. My HW was 256, an being on this 2wk preop diet i haven't yet weighed in but my last appt 3 wks ago i was 242. I commend everyone on this journey because I know it's not easy so it's a time to empower and support one another because you never know what the next persons struggles are mentally or physically and these forums maybe a person's only place to seek support or encouragement. So again you keep doin your thing because you are doin it very well an thank you four having the courage to share you updates! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Alopecia Areata and VSG?

Are you getting enough protein? I have seen that happen when not enough protein is being consumed. Some of my vegetarian friends experienced hair loss but once they incorporated some form of protein it stopped. I have read that this may occur after the surgery due to the change in diet so I am going to make sure i try to intake some form of protein in hopes of it not occuring.
