  1. THANKS! I am doing well. I am still struggling with some gas pains. Nothing severe. I just started Mushy food which is exciting. I am looking forward to my first fill and then I hope to really start dropping some weight!
  2. Welcome and Congratulations!
  3. I agree that sounds high. I paid a lot less.
  4. HI, Just click on my ticker and it will direct you to the site. Then click on 'All Tickers' on the right side. Then click on "weight Loss tickers' and go from there. Good luck with everything!
  5. I haven't had a fill yet but I use optifast. I think it taste good and fills me up.
  6. Thanks for the apprev. Someone posted a new addition to the mashed cauliflower above. By aubrie on Today, 01:06 PM I have a recipe that is similar. Also cook a chayote squash (green, shaped like a tear drop with a dimple in the bottom) along with the cauliflower. Mash and add the cream cheese or regular cream. bake in ramekins with gruyere cheese on top. It is also VERY yummy
  7. Where can I get this squash. I was just out looking at squash and didn't notice this one?
  8. Which is exactly why in my earlier post I stated that I made a pureed soup. I felt comfortable doing that because so many start their pureed diet after one week. I realize that I am only 2weeks post op and don't know everything. I have been very careful and only had pureed. I felt the moderators response was a little rude. No one is wanting to give bad advice. I just stated what I did because I wanted the posting to have a response. It is so hard to have a question and no one has a response.
  9. I am also 12 days out. I too am foggy however, not everyday. today is a bad day. Are you still on pain meds?
  10. I also had reservations and it took years to do it. I am thrilled I did. I am just starting my journey with the band. I put a lot of prayer into my decision and had a peace. I am now down 21 lbs only 12 days post op. Good luck to you.
  11. have you thought of selling a lot of sz 24 on eBay?
  12. I am so sorry things have been difficult for you. I do not know if Maine care covers the surgery. Hopefully, someone else will know. To find out if my insurance company covered the surgery I went to my insurance companies web site and searched the articles on lap band. It told me I wasn't covered unless I could meet their requirements. I started on that journey and was covered and am now 12 days post op and down 21 lbs. My prayers will be with you.
  13. I started mushys early and I am fine. Just once a day. I just need a little extra. I decided to because I read other banders starting mushy's after one week. I made a chicken soup where I pureed all the veggies and broth. It made a nice thick soup that hits the spot. Of course I am only 12 days post op so I am not an expert.
  14. Thanks! Where do I find a list of abbreviations? I don't understand them all. DW, IMHO. I love to cook and wouldn't mind having some new recipes. We have mashed cauliflower all the time and I love have a new low fat recipe for it!
  15. My sharp pain was on my left side. I attributed it to my port being on that side. I still am getting those sharp pains. Gas X didn't touch my gas pains. The only thing that worked was walking but I couldn't tolerated walking for more then a few minutes.
  16. ANOTHER GREAT RECIPE. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY MORE YOU HAVE TO SHARE FOR mushy stage. Creamed Vegetable Soup 3 cups frozen hash brown potatoes (chunks) 1 medium onion (chopped) 1 (16 ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables 1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn 3 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth 4 ounces fat free cream cheese (softened) 1 cup skim milk salt and pepper In a large kettle, combine the potatoes, onion, frozen vegetables, corn and chicken broth Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until the vegetables are tender Add the cream cheese and the milk Stir until the cream cheese is melted Heat throughly Can serve immediately, or put soup in the crock pot on low for 3-5 hours
  17. I Am Also 10 Days Out. My Stomach Isn't Puffy-just Large And Hard. It Goes Down Everyday. I Took A Long Walk Yesterday And That Helped As Well.
  18. I Am Sure The Dr Will Direct You Correctly. Good Luck To You
  19. I Will Start Saving Recipes! Save My Name As Your Friend.
