Well I hope everyone is feeling good.
Here in Australia in my state we are pretty much virus free thank God.
Most of our shops are open and life is getting back to normal..
It is the middle of winter so been in front of the heater and just feeling good realising my BIRTHDAY is coming this Sunday...
This year has gone so quickly.
I'm 9 months post op and feeling amazing and just feeling appreciation for where I am in life right now and it's the first birthday in like 20 years I've felt this good and finally starting to love myself again.
i do still have some anxiety issues and self esteem issues which I've just started seeing a new psych so that should help me transition to the new me.
I know I look good and I feel good and I get compliments from strangers which is nice but it takes time to gain confidence and to be able to put yourself out there and meet someone..
My health is great. My weight is good but my life is not complete until I start a family 😁
Just the other day someone thought I was 30 which feels good since I'll be 36 this weekend but feel 26 😁
I also want people to know that the bypass RNY has done amazing things for me and to not feel scared, to have confidence in your DECISION.
I've lost all my excess weight and kept it off and happy with myself.
It takes alot of commitment, you cannot slack off, you cannot give in, you have to be ready to change your life and change your way of thinking!!!
Anyway i know there's a few people who can't handle my humour or my personality but that's fine, I have plenty of family and friends who love me for me and that's what counts!!
    I LOVE ME TOO.
    SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.
i will treat myself for my birthday I think I've earnt that.
    Thank you.

2 years 8 months out. Doing good. Reached goal last August. I still have in the back of my mind the twenty pound weight gain they say will / can happen at the two or three year mark.. I weigh weekly so I can stay on top of that situation..

We live in a tiny apartment for the two of us. My office is located in the living room, which is connected to the dining room and kitchen. I smell everything. It would be a hard task for him to cook while I am not near.
I also acknowledge the fact that it's simply not fair to him that he has to go through what I am going through. I had hoped he would be a bit more sensitive to what I am dealing with, but as many have said, this is something I need to get through on my own.
He and I have both talked in a calmer matter now, though. There won't be anymore snacking in our bedroom. For the rest of these two weeks, he will eat more of the 'quick things' we have in the house (sandwiches, etc) instead of cooking or he can grab fast food and eat in his car.
I still wish that I could have ignored it altogether. I had got so emotional over the smell of fried food and it makes me really feel disgusting. I thought I was doing great until yesterday when I lost my **** over it.

I’m a little over two weeks out from my sleeve and have been cooking dinner for my husband, elderly mom and aunt for this week. It hasn’t bothered me what they eat because I fix my food to eat at the same time. I try to focus on how much healthier I will be and the weight loss instead of the what I can’t have. My family has been very supportive. I hope it gets better for you!

    I'm leaning towards @Deemar007's response.
It will be more beneficial for you now and in the long run to take on the weight loss journey yourself, vs. relying on others to adjust their habits to accommodate your chosen lifestyle. If you can succeed without the need for others to change, your successes will be in YOUR control, and theoretically be longer lasting.
I know this is easier said than done. Especially since you are only 3 days post op. The first week or so is the hardest. If you can, take the time and make the effort to sustain lasting change, you WILL NOT regret it.
P.S. Though I do also agree with the other poster that it wouldn't hurt to ask him not to bring sandwiches to bed. He can chose to decline your request, but I would think it's a fair request...I mean, even just from a hygiene and bug potentiality perspective...
    Good Luck!

I'm sorry you're going through this. What my husband eats means nothing to me. I do my own thing. He can eat what I fix, which he does, anything extra, I don't really care.

Just showing off my ticker because as far as I am concerned, I just reached my GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!! I mean, what is 1 1/10th of a pound anyway???
This just totally made my day after a REALLY crappy week! I work for a school, my school is closed, But this week because we just gave notice we are NOT REOPENING this school year, I have been rushing around like crazy to get a certain task done. From home of course. Plus running around to get staff what they need. And my staff has been extremely difficult during this. Anyhow... last week I almost put up a post stating that I was SO CLOSE to my goal, but I didn't think I would reach it. The scale was NOT moving anymore. And I was at a healthy weight so I was coming to terms with the fact that my body might be done. Afterall, my healthy weight used to be in the 135-145 RANGE before, and while I hoped to get to 135, I was fine anywhere in that range. But this week? OMG, the stress this week was AWFUL. My ability to stop and get myself to EAT was awful. But what I DID eat was extra healthy because since I am working from home, I have been cooking throughout the week more. I mean... not just cooking a little something for me which I always do. But cooking for the family, and meals that I can partake in. Anyhow, the last 3 days I did NOT have time to cook. But I had those healthy meals to eat as leftovers when I did eat. So... after many weeks of the scale BARELY moving (up OR down), I dropped nearly 4 pounds to hit 135.1, and my goal is 135 so I am sure after I have a BM... I am already there! LMAO
How is my body doing? Overall it looks great. Still have a little jiggliness at the back of my arms and thighs. Not too bad, but need to tone. My calves are still too big for my liking. Hoping they go away, but the rest of my legs look pretty good. My face has a LITTLE loose skin/wrinkles, but not too bad. And last but not least... my c-section belly is well hidden by clothes, but that NEEDS to go away! I know I can lose a little more bellyfat above my 3 c-section scar... I did it after my 3rd baby. It will never be flat again, but I know it can be better. So... once I am in a better work from home routine, I need to try to resume my workouts. Oh... I had been doing great with workouts until early March.... but this transition to work from home has NOT left me the time I need to do them, and by the time I DO have time to workout... I need to go to bed. So, maybe after next week I can focus on that belly. But I REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT!

Sitting at my home computer this morning typing an email to my sales staff, trying to keep them motivated during these very trying and challenging times, I realized I was giving them the advice I need to hear myself. Its been two years since I started this journey and 506 days since my RNY surgery. I'm down 125 pounds and life is flippin fantastic! I have been losing and gaining the same five pounds for five months but I'm ok with that, having a couple of glasses of red wine in the evening is most likely the cause coupled with a lack of any real exercise program - I am active, just not working out - but my life is filled with happiness right now. Fast forward to this morning and it hit me, I'm motivating others but not myself. Today that changes! I laced up my running shoes and started day one of C25K. Running a 5k without stopping has always been a bucket list item and now I am going to do it!

You probably won't be able to eat a big salad, however once you put it together, it will probably end up big. 🙂I know mine was. It took me a long time to figure out how much food to put on my plate. I am still learning. My eyes always seem to be bigger than my stomach.
    Good luck with your journey.
