  1. Thanks for this thread Carrie_C. I was feeling like a failure lately myself. Since October I have been losing/gaining 5lbs. I've been having a tough time eating because of vomiting, then I eat bad food. I also have not been exercising so I know that my slow weight loss was slowed due to my own actions. it is nice to get support by seeing other peoples obstacle & not feel so alone.
  2. Wow, 6 months! I don't know why but it seemed longer. I have been feeling discouraged for the last 2 months because of frothing & vomiting issues, then making bad "easy" food choices but when I think-it's only been 6 months-I guess I've been doing okay. I feel encouraged by everyone's weight loss & excitement & feel motivated to get out & move! Thank you May Banders!
  3. I haven't been on the site in awhile. I was feeling discouraged. I was due for my 3rd fill at the end of october but after meeting with the nutritionist she thought it might not be a good idea. I have of trouble w. frothing & full on vomiting after the majority of meals which encourages me to eat "easy " foods like sweets or certain chips. I haven't been exercising consistently which also doesn't help. I'm hoping that getting back on this site actively will be a step in the right direction!
  4. I just went to the nutritionist and we talked about my difficulties with fast eating and not chewing enough. I have been frothing frequently and after frothing I resort to eating foods that go down easy but have no nutritional value. I have not lost weight in weeks as this eating pattern is not good. It is amazing how difficult mindful eating is. Getting more fills may not be the answer if you are not making good choices. I am really going to make a stronger effort to overcome my bad eating habits.
  5. Interesting, however snacking late then lying down to sleep may not be good if digesting still going on. I would most likely have a problem making a wise snacking choice later in the evening. Let me know if you try it.
  6. I just had .5cc put in my band today. I felt disappointed because I only lost 2oz from my last appointment in July. I have had a good amount of weight loss until I discovered how easily sugary, high calorie foods go done. I am hopeful my fill today will help me get back on track-especially because I am on a liquid diet for the next two days.
  7. smsmithart-you're really lucky that you can't eat junk. I'm hoping with my next fill on 9/9 that will happen to me!
  8. I have been walking-I'm just having a tough time eating. The protein doesn't go down nearly as easy as sugary, fatty foods. I am due for a fill 9/9/08 & hopefully that will help. You're right-it's only a tool and self-restraint is still a battle.
  9. Thanks globally yours & neverb4. I know it's a mind set. I've had a good day today & my goal is for a good day tomorrow. I will make time for exercise. Sometimes I just need to say/write the problem out loud! You guys are great examples with awesome weight loss.
  10. HELP! I am having such a tough time. Bad food choices & not exercising and have gained 3lbs over the last 3 weeks. I am writing this to rally myself into doing what is good for me - eating right & moving my body. Any thoughts?
  11. Exercising can really help with your overall attitude. I am still on vacation & trying to be as active as possible. Heading to the treadmill now for 30 minutes of fast walking!
  12. I am on vacation and have begun using a treadmill for 30 minute periods. It's not my first choice of exercise but it does work up a sweat!
  13. FeliaLevy75: How inspiring! I have been having a really rough time. I am eating way too much and eating sugary fatty foods. I have not lost any weight in 3 weeks. I am scheduled for a possible fill 9/9. I am going to try to get back on track with the eating and exercising so that I will have it under control for my next fill.
  14. Can I ask those who feel no restriction (especially those receiving at least one fill) -Do you not have any "stuck" or "Frothing" episodes? Can you eat anything-or is the feel of no restriction related to feeling hungry? I was just curious because I do have difficulty with some foods and I do often "feel" hungry.
  15. AnneV: I have had a 2 week weight loss stall however I continue to make bad food choices and have not been exercising at all. I am scheduled for a 2nd fill on 9/9. I am really trying to get motivated and move! If you are doing everything correctly & staying on track my guess is you'll experience a large weight loss when your body is ready to let it go!
