  5. Did he give you a reason for only doing a partial DS? I wouldn't think he would do that and have you fail. Truthfully, I haven't heard of a partial though. Try to not panic and unfortunately you'll have to wait to see what happens. Sending you good vibes and best wishes...?
  6. You are not going to fail!!! Congratulations on getting your date! Just do everything your Doctor and Nutritionist says and you will succeed. Best of luck!!!
  7. I agree, my doctor dosen't seem concerned at all. I dont know how to get them to take it seriously. Its really frustrating.
  8. I'm not sure if this is a DS thing or not but absolutely yes it was super scary! I'm getting better every day so I'm very happy about that. ?

  10. He told me the same, yes I wish he had done it all at one time!!! He sutured my colon to my abdominal wall in April hoping it would stay but he wasn't optimistic. Let's hope we both can get back to normal asap. ?

  12. Hi and yes I did!! Dr Bruce is my doctor as well and fixed a hernia as well as a twisted colon and some adhesions in April. I had my DS February 2018. Since the April surgery and just had another surgery on June 10th to remove my right colon and a part of my small intestine. This surgery has been rough and I'm not bouncing back like I did before. As I'm writing this I'm at Wakemed Cary in a hospital bed getting fluids and Vitamins. I hope you feel better quickly!!!

  28. Hi guys!!! it's been awhile, hope everyone is doing great!!! I just received my labs and my b12 level is over 2000. Anybody else have this???
  29. I had the DS at Wake Med in Cary. I started out with a 42 bmi now 15 months later I am a 25. Diabetes gone, high blood pressure gone, and high cholesterol gone!!! I still dont recognize myself in the mirror! The only downfall is smelly poops and smelly gas but the Dr put me on Creon and it seems to be helping. As for telling people, everyone I've told has been supportive but I think it's a personal choice. Best decision I ever made!!! Oh and it took me 8 8 months from start to finish!Good luck on your journey!!!!
