Yahoooo! Thank you for doing this Misty!!! ((hugs)) Sorry. I was at the doc's all day. Fork me! But hopefully my hip will have a new lease on life in about 5 days thanks to Mr. Cortisone--the shot I love to hate!
WTG on losses everyone. Misty I had a slow last week too until the last day. But let's just tough it out and move onward through the fog. The good news is, thanks the weekly chart you showed us, I made one and am on schedule for a low week. Better times ahead my friend! And huge congrats on your Walmart shopping trip!!!! Come on capri weather!!!
    HW 287 (May 3 '17)
    SW 222.4 (Feb. 20)
    Last Week 196
    Today 194.4
So down 1.6lbs since last week, 28lbs since surgery, 92.6lbs overall.
All of my pants are swimming on me. Safety pins and I are on a first name basis! LOL. Even my leggings! I put a run in them with the safety pin this morning. *le sigh*
I'm pretty stoked though, I bought Silver Skeeters tickets today! LOL. Being 55 (a senior) has its advantages. For $30 I get parking passes, a tshirt, a drink at each game, and seats in field boxes every Tuesday night plus opening day this Friday for 10 games. So $3 a game with free parking and a complimentary drink. Yeeeeeeee-the-helll-hawwww! I would have NEVER done this last year. The heat would have killed me and I wouldn't have fit in the seat, nor would I have been able to walk. This year, look out baby! Here I come. So I'm super excited for Friday night.

While you're googling, check the survival rates for obese people who don't have surgery. It might give you a better perspective.
That being said, it is major surgery and it would be foolish to take it lightly. Ask lots of questions in the forums, there are plenty of people who are willing to help you out.

Trust your physician and if you don’t, find one you do. They will do lab work and the same surgery clearances they would for anyone with your medical condition(s). Be weary of medical advice from strangers, WebMD and the doom and gloom stories.

Thanks ladies for your support and kind comments!!
@clsumrallOh my yes. I drink about 120oz of liquids per day (with at least 80 of that from water). But you are right. The RD said yesterday because I'm so low in BMI that I will be losing slower. She also said I'm not eating enough. Surprise. Right? LOL. So I'm upping food today to 700 cals and working up to about 850-1000cal per day range.
@birdynz Welcome back! Yeah love the flubberdubber! I shall use it forevs! It's def FD cuz I don't have any upper fat at all since the BC surgeries and recons. It's all super tight and flat and small foob mounds. Not even back fat on the upper torso.
I wore boyfriend jeans to yesterday's support group and they said, "You need to buy new clothes that fit you." LOL. So I may go try stuff on at Old Navy and Kohl's this week. At least I'll know what size fits over mah bum!

    Update: 4weeks Post Op - 210.6lbs (-11.8lbs from SW of 222.4lbs)
Okey dokey...so 4 long weeks; 1 month post-op. What a trip. I'm coming to you from somewhat of a Negative Nancy (Disgruntled Daphne) perspective due to the dreaded 3 week stall/pox upon the land that is still with me. Sigh. I've now lost about 2.75lbs/week since surgery. No offense, but being average bites great big green ones.
For those of you who are not post-op and who have not experienced a stall post-surgery, I can NOT describe the mental trauma the stall inflicts. Seriously, having a stall during regular weight loss makes you feel like gnawing off a limb just to see a drop on the scale. LOL. But having a stall after you've cut out 90% of your stomach and about 2m of intestines is EXCRUCIATING!!!! It's a mind fu*k the likes of which you've never known. It DOES feel like, this is the end of it. I will be the ONLY person on the face of the earth for whom the surgery did not work. LOL.
On top of worry about that, you know, the whole calorie restriction thing that comes as part of the volume limitations in a tag-team one-two punch that adds insult to injury. Cuz I don't know about you, but I'm thinking, "FU! I've done all of this and am eating 450-500cals/day and I've lost 2.75lbs per week and nothing in over 7 days?" LOL, this is how fu*ked up my head is right now...last night, I had Bigtime Billy Badass rebellion and so I ate 1 1/8 ounces corned beef + 1 1/8 ounces corned pork + 1 1/2 oz "fried" cabbage and I felt GUILTY cuz my calories went over 550cals for the day! Let me repeat, I felt guilty for eating too much at dinner and for having the daily nuts of: 581cals; 69g protein; 29g fat; 19g carbs; 5g fiber; 14g net carbs; 3g nat occurring sugar for the day. How insane is that? ROFLMFAO!!! AND I walked for 1 hour yesterday on bursitis hips that hurt like a MOFO! *snort* *indeed*
I'm whipping myself into high dudgeon and indignation. LOL. Can you tell today you should all call me Ms. Cranky McCrankypants?
I don't wish for complications. But I honestly do NOT understand how every doc on The YouTube says I should be getting full on 3-4 bites (about 2Tbsp of food) at 3-4 weeks post-op and I'm like, dudes. Have you EVER had surgery? You're nuts! I can eat 1/2c - 3/4c of food COMFORTABLY! Hells I could prolly eat 3oz of dense Protein right this instant. I could prolly eat 2 eggs. TWO eggs! LOL. I could tear it up!!!
    *le sigh*
It is my fervent hope that my visit with the surgeon this week and with the RD right behind her appointment will give me the answers and tools I need to relieve me of the ginormous asshat I am currently laboring to wear. It weighs a ton, is uncomfortable, offers poor visibility and the flies are a liability.
    The End.
kserrynotserry this couldn't have been a rainbows and unicorns thread. But this 3 week stall sucks huge green donkey dicks and if I could shoot it in the face with something I would! There. I said it. Bite me.

    Update: 3weeks + 2 days Post Op - 210.8lbs (-11.6lbs from SW of 222.4lbs)
Mood swings post surgery are real. I'm in Crank Town today and passed Douchery about 10 miles ago. I'm wearing my fancy ass hat on my head and I just feel like someone ought to call me Snarla. Cuz dayum, are the claws out and sharpened.
I've no idea why I feel this way. The sun is out. The temp is beautiful. Work is going well. I feel great--a little low on energy. The trains are running perfectly on schedule with only colace and Miralax on board. I can seemingly eat whatever the fork I want. I'm walking well. I've got a great guy who loves me despite OTT ass-hattery antics. I have a lovely fam who supports, accepts, and loves me.
The only stressor in my life is understanding my new tool's volume and the amount I can eat--coupled with feeling like I'm not losing so quickly--even though I'm perfectly a little above average at 3.528lbs per week.
So there's no reason to be cranky, except, I still am working anesthesia out, and probably dealing with some hormones from the fat liberation going down 'round these parts! LOL.
Ok, so I may go out and get some Vitamin D therapy today to see if I can get over my bad self!

Don't give up, don't be nervous and don't believe you can not make a success of this. I'm going to,have this surgery also, if I didn't believe in the, operstion, see it for the good tool to reshape our lives I wouldn't be here and I suspecr, you wouldn't be either. How can b I help, you to be less worried.? Well, your surgery will be a very safe, procedure. When, they started To do this kind of surgery back,in,maybr, the 60s ,there were some. bugs and kinks. Now they've done so many and it has become so smooth a procedure that surgery is nothing to fear.It is more scary to think of. the damage Obesity does to your body. I am 72 and the fact it hasn't caught up to me is more good luck than good planning. I am w walking time bomb and the only way,to keep me from exploding into diabetes or worse Will be ,myown surgery. I tried, for years to diet, every fad that came on the scene, I tried it. And some were even silly, my late mother in law was a booster of the Grapefruit Diet. She believed to her dying day that the grapfruit molecules , we're going to travel through your bloodstream like little pacmen eating cholesterol. Gave up trying to change her mind. Then we had cousins that were certain a magnet ran over fresh produce got rid of all, pesticides. Wash it, nope they never did.
Don't think,of those foods going over the edge of the world, it's more like they are going on vacstion. You can wave bye bye, but while they are gone, you will, make new friends like Protein Shakes and other low calorie liquids, and when they return you may find you have nothing in common with them or that they taste weird. Some people have b evenbsaid

I think you might be able to eat it if you prep it. Take the edge of your knife and catch a strip of celery. Pull it down to remove the outer layers that contain the major strings. You're left with tender, inner celery that has an almost cucumber texture. Make sure to remove the entire outer skin and strings on the stalk. Or you can peel it with a veg peeler, but this can be a little trickier.
Then chew like hell! And if you have any strings in your mouth after chewing and swallowing the apple sauce, just spit em out!
When in doubt, spit it out!!!

So glad Mother Nature and Father Time helped me bury Aunt Flo. It had been 47 years of her monthly visits and I was happy the old biddy died. Like, most relatives she had a habit of showing up at the most inconvenient time and often overstayed her welcome. Nobody came to her funeral but me because my gynecologist would not help me murder her prematurely. RIP Aunt Flo👹--far far away from me!....Amen
