  1. I hit Onderland today! I feel great!

  2. Purim starts tonight!

  3. I'm a finisher of a half marathon! Completed yesterday on a beautiful day to run. My hips and Knee are pretty angry with me today, but we finished at 2:19. Not bad for my first half. I was able to run with my wife, so that made it much nicer and easier to get through

  4. Yup I'm watching NKOTB on GMA

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  6. My weight loss has been incredibly slow so I'm doing Whole30 for 6 weeks (led by my personal trainer). It's helped nudge my weight down a bit but I guess I will never be a fast loser. I'm telling myself that's a good thing -- maybe I'll have less loose skin to contend with!

  7. Another interim weight loss goal reached: I now weigh less than Mr.!!! This morning I weighed in at 156.4 😁

(Mind you, I've reached below his weight the last 3 times I dieted, but I have a good feelings about this time, and that it will stick 😎).

Next interim weight loss goal: Break into the 140's...

  8. I received my surgery date today.  I could not be more happy about it, the stars are seeming to align with all the obstacles I've had over the last 6 months to get to this point.  It's a much greater feeling than i expected.  Now comes nerves, doubt, and all the other things in advance of any kind of surgery, but I know I have this.

  9. This 2 week stall sucks :(

  10. First day of mush diet, and I feel like I'm in heaven. Plus, I've lost 16 pounds since the surgery on the 21st! I'm so excited. ❤️

  11. Just started my post up surgery journey. Staying strong and positive!

  15. My surgery is on the 22nd February in Mexico.  My daughter and I are travelling all the way from New Zealand for this momentus day in our lives.

I am a low BMI of 36. my daughter is 45.

has anybody taken a long haul flight after vsg surgery?

  16. So its been a while but i am officially one year out. I did have a 3 month illness with DVT not sure if it was surgery related, I do feel that is one of the reasons I'm not as far as I should be. I am thankful to lost the 73lbs that I am down. I am currently waiting for the weather to change so I can get back to walk,

  17. Today I had my first post surgery update. I haven't eaten anything other than the occasional popsicle and my daily protein shakes in 2 weeks. I have lost 30lbs in those 2 weeks. The doctor is happy. I am starting to see changes I have no more swelling in my legs after sitting at my work desk all day. I don't get to eat an egg till next week. I have my total carb and protein counts so when I can start eating I know how much I can have. My surgeon / doctor has been great thru this whole process. He listens and gives good information about what to expect and what I should be doing. He has an amazing team here in Boise. I am glad I went with him to do this life changing process.

  18. Woohooooooo!
1 week from today and I get to be a loser!

  19. I am so HAPPY TODAY.... I am just 4 pounds away from my all time GOAL.  I reached my goal within 8 MONTHS!!!!!  GOING FROM 245 TO 135... YES!!!!!:D:1299_raised_hands_tone5:

  20. This is completely unreal but two days in a row now I have seen less than 200 pounds on the scale for the first time in over 15 years. I am a pound away from my first goal of 199 at 13.5 months post op. Time to set a new goal for the New Year!

  21. I am beyond amazed.  At 2.5 months post-op, I am officially more than halfway to goal this morning.

58.4 lbs down, 56.6 lbs to go.

    Yay me ☺️

  22.  I’m officially two weeks post op  and I’m so excited to have graduated to  Full liquids. I’m still having some trouble getting in my protein, and I know that’s important to keep my muscle mass in to avoid drastic hair loss. All the protein shakes  I’ve tasted so far taste too sweet so I’m trying to find an alternate way to get protein. Does anyone have any  suggestions of what  to do or on brands of protein that don’t taste like a cup of sugar? I’m not even getting anywhere near the required amount all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  23. Excited! Only 10lbs away from being considered just "overweight" on the BMI chart instead of "obese". While I don't heavily rely on sticking to the "BMI" guidelines because every BODY is different, it still feels like an achievement! Also, our vacation to Ireland only 20 days away. Working hard to drop these last 11lbs before the trip to be back in the "100's"! Time will tell :) Hope everyone is happy and healthy!!!

  24. Surgery went well, I was up and walking the next day, drinking my protein, and wasn't nauseous not even once.  So I got to go home the next day :)

This is day 3 post-op. I am doing well, although I slept most of yesterday away, I believe I needed to catch up on sleep, since sleep in the hospital is in 2 hour intervals, someones always waking you up for something lol

Today I've been up all day, walking around, playing on the computer. I've had some pain but not anything that cant be controlled. The drinking thing has been hard. Making sure i get my protein in. So mainly right now I'm on 2x protein shakes a day, i split them up so that I'm only handling 4oz at a time. Drinking water and power-aid zero all day. And today I measured out 2oz sf jello and 2oz beef broth for lunch. I think i'm going to do ok with my new stomach. I worry about stretching it, but from what I've read 4 oz. on the liquid diet is not the same as solid food. I usually take my time and get full from 4oz of liquid.

So far so good, I am so happy with my decision to do this.
