After I had my sleeve I had a stall that lasted almost 6 weeks. It was frustrating. I readjusted my diet (wasn’t eating enough) and made sure I was getting enough sleep. The weight eventually started coming off again.
Just try and be patient. I know it’s hard. Maybe talk to your nutritionist and see if you’re getting enough Protein and calories for your post-op stage.

as long as you stick to your surgeon's food plan the stall WILL eventually break. They're frustrating, but they're part of the process...

Yes, stalls are normal. I went through a LONG one in the beginning.... and I am in one now again. You will start losing again. Just trust the process.

Stall are quite common anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks out, and again many times as you progress through the first year.
Assuming you are following the post op guidelines set by your surgeon or dietician you will be fine, weight loss will catch up again soon.
It's a good time to set some non scale goals to focus on.
If you are concerne though you may want to check in with your dietician.

    Hello all,
I need some advices.I haven't lost weight for over 4 weeks now. I had my surgery (SADI-S) on August 21st and I lost so far 20lbs. I stopped losing since September 14!
I drink more than 2l of Water everyday. I walk 2 hours every day. I really don't know what to do!
    Has anyone had this experience?
Can you share some tips? Please

    Hello Andrew,
What kind of complications did you have? Why a second surgery was needed? I had a Gastric Sleeve surgery on August 9th. I was doing great so far, but since yesterday I have abdominal pain.
    Thanks

On my second day home (4 days post op), I passed out due to internal bleeding. It was probably my fault as I was getting in and out of a recliner by myself.

Rushed to hospital by ambulance with very low blood pressure and then surgery to stop bleeding.

I had some abdominal pain early on, too, due to constipation.... May want to call your Dr if that persists.

My liquid diet started on 7/26. I lost 15lbs . Surgery on 8/9 I have lost 7 slow loser but as long as it's steady I okay. I drink normal now and can tolerate everything just in moderation. Never had nausea. I have no regrets at this point , I needed this tool .

My nurses gave me IV pain meds around the clock the first day. Second day I was put on liquid pain medication. This managed the pain well, but the key was walking. I had to walk once every hour when I was awake. Pain was completely gone by day #5. Surgery was also 8/9....Good luck!

    Hello dear,
I am sorry to hear that. Trust me I feel your pain. I had my surgery two weeks ago, August 9th. I had sooooo much pain that I yelled at the nurses at the hospital to have so pain reliever. The first three days was hell. I know what you are going through. After 3 or 4 days you'll get better. All the best !

Constipation is as much a side-effect of the surgery/anesthesia as it is the high Protein diet. Increase your Fluid intake (water, clear juice, gatorade, SoBe, Fruit2O, etc. etc. etc). Protein is important but fluid, not being dehydrated, and not being constipated (as much as possible) is more important right now. Find a shake you can tolerate and go with it. IMO Premier is NOT the best option, and if you are drinking the ready-to-drink style, that's even worse. 3 days until you see your doc- THREE DAYS. Hang in there- you can do this. With any luck, your doc will give you the green light for mushy food. Only those of us who have been on liquids only for FOUR WEEKS can appreciate the glory of mushed up canned green Beans with a little butter and salt!
YOU CAN DO THIS. Nobody said it was easy, and if people tell you that bariatric surgery is the easy way out to lose weight, just laugh in their faces!

It gets better, but slowly. I am at week 10 and I still have struggles, but they are less and less. In the meantime, as the payoff for my struggles, I have lost 78 pounds. I can stand up without exhaustion and walk every day on my treadmill and people don't look at me like I'm an alien anymore. So it's worth it.

Those people who say this is the "easy way out", just don't know. Keep on keeping on!

Everything made me gassy and bloated. These were the only ones that feel good going down. You can get it on Amazon, or Cosco. I like the chocolate, just ordered the vanilla. Make sure it says grass fed

No bm for me yet either. I'm in a lot of pain. I can barely walk, sometimes I can and sometimes the muscle pulling and burning is too much. Stomach gurgling all the time and tons of trapped air in tummy, chest and back. In tears as I write. Your not alone and we will be OK
Its just a big surgery and we need to relearn how to eat like a 2 month old. Hang in there

In my opinion, if you are already "cheating" and eating the old way post surgery, then perhaps you were not ready to seriously do this to reclaim your life. Maybe you should go back to counseling to refocus and adjust for this major life change. Remember: No challenge, no change. If you were going to continue down the same path using the same approach, you could have saved your money, time, and expenses by staying like you were. #IJS #IfYouWorkItYouCanWinIt!
