Diarrhea is very common on liquid diets post-op because the stuff goes through your digestive system rapidly. Just keep hydrated and with enough nutrients (vitamins, Protein, etc.). When you get on solids it should disappear within days-to-weeks.
I was likewise taking things that didn't help, such as milk of magnesia.. literally could not go anywhere out of fear of crapping myself.

The thing about the sleeve is longevity and consistency. The sleeve enabled me to maintain a low carb lifestyle much longer than I would have without altering the amount of food I can eat at one time. I would have long since got frustrated and gone back to whatever I was doing before. The fact that my body processes certain foods differently, the fact that my tastes have changed and that my body works differently now has worked wonders.
Also, weight loss is about much more than scale weight. Track everything... inches mean MORE than lbs. No one is going to walk up to you and say, man you look like you lost about 3lbs! They WILL notice those inches coming off! Are your clothes getting loose? Rings and watch rolling around on wrists and fingers? Unders flapping in the breeze??? My shoes started flopping off my feet and I was like... if I lose one more inch around my wrists and not a single inch off my thighs I am going to HURT someone! LOL.
But it came off. Slowly but surely, this race will be won. Track and Celebrate ALL of your victories, even the non scale ones. Those months when the scale wasn't moving, the inches were coming off like gangbusters and I was going through clothes like crazy. Some stuff I never even got to wear. I would go to the thrift store and get stuff two sizes down and be in them within a month. Before surgery it would take me five mins to go up and down stairs. Soon after surgery I was running up and down stairs. My back, knees, ankles didn't hurt anymore. Count all of those kinds of victories, keep a list of stuff you can do that you couldn't do before.
If you can get out and walk, do so. Take it easy, no lifting, nothing strenuous, but keep your booty moving, your mood lifted, your head high and shoulders back. The endorphins will help! You're DOIN' this thing!
And stay HYDRATED. Right now your biggest enemy will be dehydration.

I haven't been since I've been embarrassed, sadly. One of the coasters I went on came over the head, but also over the thigh area. The one on my abdomen closed but they couldn't get the thigh one to snap. I had people looking at me as the person tried to close it. I end up getting up and off the ride, I felt like all eyes were on me. I also felt I embarrassed my family. I kind of don't want to go back until I've lost a significant amount of weight (8 days post op ATM) I can't wait to go though!

The snacking thing becomes a non-issue once you reach the point in your post op where you are eating solid foods that comprise your three meals per day.
I never experienced any type of increased motion sickness or anything of the like.
I hit my first amusement park last August. Rode the "monsta" ride they were known for. The last thought that came to mind as it slowly inched it's way up and over the initial climb, "Dude....you are insane for getting on this thing.........".
I couldn't wait for that damn thing to stop. I wanted off. Never again. Never again.
So an hour later I'm back in line..................

Hi I am 7 days out and this sounded like my day today totally! I cried, growled at my family. I was looking on pininterest and there were some cool recipes for puree food, next phase. I have another week on full liquids. I had bad urges today. But I made it thru barely. Hang in there you are not alone!

lol I'm 6 days post op and I'm feeling the same way. Try Sugar Free Chocolate pudding [emoji4] I'm on liquids until the 2nd of June. From the recipes I've seen puréed is something to look forward to. Ummm I've had beef tripe Soup broth, yummy. Also if you're on full liquids, you should be able to have creamier Soups, so I will be trying broccoli cheddar soup. I was under the impression that my appetite wouldn't be there but I have hunger pangs and everything.

Lol trust me, I know! I cried about it twice. It's weird to be crying about it but I guess people who aren't going through this wouldn't understand. It's not just a physical change.

Okay, I'm feeling the exact same way! I can't drink the Protein Shakes because they make me sick! I even tried Isopure clear Protein ewww lol. Today I went out after my appointment and I had my little sister that I had to feed. She ordered a burger and fries... I had beef tripe Soup (I consumed just the broth which was delicious) but I cried. I just started to think why did I do this to myself and that it's all my fault. I'm 6 days post op and will be on puréed next weekend! Hello chili and refried Beans [emoji173]️ stats: hw343 sw 319 cw 312 I keep thinking about the future when I will look and feel so much better, but yes, this is rough.

Two incisions on that side right? I tried to put a bra on yesterday, bad idea. But the weight of my breast doesn't help either. It may be gas because I had the most pain there under my left breast ever since waking up and the morphine didn't help. I massage the area avoiding my incisions. And getting someone to rub your back and sides semi rough going downward helped me

How did it go? We're surgery buddies lol. I'm doing okay, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The gas pain is real but my incisions doesn't hurt much. I've walked several times. My mouth was so dry and lips super chapped lol. Can't wait for something to drink today, hopefully I can keep it down.
