  1. Congratulations and I hope your tree trunk syndrome goes away soon! I may have missed it (and very sorry if I did) but I am curious why you chose to have your reconstructive surgery now as opposed to when you reach your weight loss goal? Hope you feel well soon! I read through more closely and saw why you had your surgery before reaching goal. Congrats again on all of your many accomplishments!
  2. Another newbie here. I got my band date today (soooo excited!) and have been reading/lurking for about three months, pending finalization of my surgery. Folks here seem VERY friendly and helpful and a wonderful means of both information and support. Best of luck to you as you go through the process.
  3. Hello! I've not yet been banded (very soon, yeah!) but I enjoy seeing and hearing about others in the same boat. Be sure and check the B/A pictures thread.... so inspiring!
  4. I work in a small unit in a large hospital and I've told those in my unit, as well as my husband. Actually, several of the folks in this unit have had WLS and are, in large, the reason I decided to pursue it. I'm having my GB removed at the same time so for those "outsiders" that ask I'll respond with the GB info. I'm a fairly private person and feel more comfortable with only a few knowing all the details.
  5. Bet that feels GREAT. Congratulations!
  6. Congratulations! It's those "little" things that truly mark this journey of a changed/changing life.
