    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Juli, best of luck with the seroma saga. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they take care of themselves before you have to be back at work FT. I've no doubt you'll knock their socks off at work and they'll be thrilled to see you. Karey, so very happy for you my dear! You've been through plenty and then some. So glad your band is back where it belongs and working correctly. Take care, both of you!

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Congratulations Juli!!! On your graduation, the weight loss, dealing so well post op, the life style change commitment and everything. You rock! You've lost ALMOST 200 POUNDS!!!! In case you've forgtotten, that is a HUGE accomplishment. Completely, incredibly amazing and you should be very proud of yourself. We all know how tough it is, even with the aide of the band. So, forget the size and remember where you were. I know it's natural and most of us do it.... I'm 5'8, 161 and wear a comfortable 8 (well, most of the time... sometimes it's a 6, sometimes a 10) and I still think "maybe a 6 would be better.... if I could just lose this last 10 pounds". So my advise, forget about it, heal and enjoy the new, freshly gorgeous YOU!!!
  4. Hi Karey I've been thinking about you and hoping that you are completely healed and that you are doing great. I go back and forth on the plastics issue (1 in college now, another in the fall and 2 more in high school) and I think of you and your experiences each time I consider the possibilities. Thanks again for sharing your story and I pray that all is well with you!
  5. Hi renewed  So glad you are doing better and that you are back on track. I'm within 10 pounds of goal and have been struggling with whether or not I should have PS. I totally want/need to have the ladies lifted (poor things sag horribly) but figure when I do I should have a tummy tuck as well. I'm lucky and I know it. I do have some saggy, hanging skin, but it really is minimal...more the c-section sag than anything else. Anyway, it's good to hear from you and I hope you heal quickly this time around as well. Best of luck with those last few pounds!
  6. Karey, you look fantastic! All that pain and effort and hard work has truly paid off. Now, make those old jeans go away forever! BTW, your dog is aborable. What a pretty baby
  7. Karey, my wish for you is a surgery AND pain free '09!!! Best of luck getting everything done and a very happy, HEALTHY, comfortable Christmas to you!
  8. Talbots, Gap and Chico's all have Talls. Fred Meyer and Penneys usually carry Dockers in Talls. Congrats and happy shopping! (Just as an FYI. I often find new or almost new talls at Goodwill in "regular people" sizes for a fraction of the cost.)
  9. Hi Frangi Just wanted to wave hello and let you know I've been thinking about you. I hope you are catching up on all things at home and that you are completely healed. Take care of yourself and Happy Thanksgiving!
  10. Hi karey I've been thinking about you and hoping that things are improving.... God is really tossing challenges your way throughout this, isn't He? I'll continue prating that your spirits lift and you heal quickly and appropriately. I agree completely, enough with the plastic surgery. You look incredible and it's about darn time you feel incredible too. Hugs to you my dear and a very Happy Thanks giving to you. PS. I hope you can eat
  11. That is FANTASATIC news!!!!! Enjoy all the black friday sales... I hope you get great deals and enjoy the process. Take care and be careful not to over do it. Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving to you!
  12. Karey, you are one amazing woman! Thank you for sharing your story and your pictures.... you are truly looking fantastic!!! The wound really isn't too bad and it looks as if it is healing nicely, albeit too slowly for comfort Glad you were able to do hair and girls lunch and that your spirits are so good. Bless you my dear!
  13. Hello  Just wanted to thank you for sharing your story and your pictures and your experiences.... congrats on all your hard work... it has TOTALLY paid off!!!! You look amazing, and as Karey has said, it is only going to get better and better. The fluid? Sounds very much like a popped pocket but I agree with Karey. Be careful and double check with your doc. There is definitely something to be said for peace of mind. Here's hoping you continue to heal so well and that you are back to your exercise routine soon!!!

So glad they were able to do the full meal deal and you won't have to go in for a hiney procedure. Take care of yourself and rest lots! You'll be back to full speed in no time
  16. Ahhhh Karey, I'm so sorry! I mean, I am glad you are pleased with your results and all, just sorry that you aren't feeling better about everything. Here's hoping that the hormone attack goes away soon and you are feeling wonderful about your decisions. One day at a time my dear... you can do this
  17. quennee, may I ask where you are having your surgery done? I want to research ALL my options before deciding.... and that is a HUGE savings.
  18. Holy schmoly!!!! Major difference, major improvement. You look wonderful!!!! Thanks very much for sharing

SICK OF LOOSING WEIGHT! (yes I really mean it)

I'm sorry to hear you're so down and depressed. I've only got another 15-20 to go so am in a bit different of a boat, but I get where you are coming from. HOWEVER, you can shop/buy clothes NOW if you choose to. I got sick and tired of the comments I was getting when I was wearing clothes that were notably too big, but I didn't want to spend much money on new things when I knew I'd lose more weight and have to shop all over again. So, I went to Goodwill (or any thrift store or consignment/resale shop). I've had a blast! I've got plenty of clothes to wear, I haven't spent much money and I've got all my favorite designers. I get compliments every single day about how nice I look and I know once I get down to the next size I'll be able to replenish my wardrobe again. I know, second hand clothing is not for everyone, but I LOVE it!!! I did a bit at yard sales when the kids were little, but nothing before or since then. I only buy outer garments and I only shop when I have time to be selective and really look through the clothes, but I've gotten some great things and I love the prices. It can't hurt to give it a try.... you may end up loving it too!!!!!

    Tracyinks Time for TT! FREAKY

I'm sorry Tracy, but glad to hear your hubby is being open minded and willing to work with you. It totally sucks that they changed the plan so much. I'm not surprised, but it really does suck. $150 a month more is a HUGE difference. I would highly encourage you to have the breast lift at the same time. Everywhere I've seen and read folks that have only had one procedure REALLY wished they'd done both. Folks I've known that only have procedure have said the same thing. Keep at it.... it will work out!!!
  23. The barn raising and fellowship sounds like a blast Karey.... and it will be so nice to have friends and family and laughter to focus on. Have a great time and rest easy knowing your PS is coming soon and you WILL be healthy and rested and ready to heal once it takes place. Bless you!
  24. Hi Frangi So glad you are taking good care of yourself. Great news that the doc is happy with the healing and that he's released the guilt you were surely feeling about the problems being "your fault". I agree totally.... a size 6 is plenty small!!!!! And curves are a very good thing. It's funny how folks see others. I get told almost daily, and sometimes several times a day (I work in a large ER with lots of employees) that I look great and I don't need to lose any more weight. I'm 5'8, 170 and STILL OVERWEIGHT!!!! Sure, my 12's are loose and I absolutely look much better than I did when I wore a snug 18, but perception is a funny thing. I wonder if these folks hadn't known me when I was much larger if they'd say the same thing... that I don't need to lose more. I'm still hoping for a loose 10 (I can get into a 10, but I hate tight clothes and won't wear them) when all is said and done, so we'll see. Then again, when I do get my TT a lot of skin should go away and then maybe clothes will fit differently. Anyway, I'm rambling. Please continue to rest and heal and take care of yourself. It will end soon and be oh so worth the hassle!!!
  25. Congrats on the size 8's... and the 6's!!!! It will no doubt feel wonderful to have that extra skin GONE and you will finally see the real results of all of your hard work. Glad to hear your hubby is behind you on this. They worry becasue they love you, but you have to do what you know in your heart is the right thing FOR YOU!!!!
